Corey Thompson

Corey Thompson is entering his first season as the head coach of the Alverno College soccer program.


Thompson was chosen as the head coach after a national search. He most recently served as assistant women’s coach/Director of Milwaukee County Initiative at Bryant & Straten College during 2021-2022. Corey has spent multiple years serving as the Girl’s and Boy’s Varsity Co-Coach at Ronald Reagan High School. Dr. Thompson also has an extensive career in education. He most recently served as an Associate professor in the College of Education & Leadership at Cardinal Stritch University. Corey has also served as principal at Milwaukee Academy of Science and Dean School. Thompson was also a sixth-grade teacher at Cherokee Heights Middle School.


Corey earned his bachelor's degree in Elementary education from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He also holds a master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and a Doctorate in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service from Cardinal Stritch University.

Jenny Nagle

Jenny Nagle joins the Alverno Soccer staff for her first season in 2022.


Nagle comes to Alverno having played at nearby Cardinal Stritch University on Milwaukee's north side. Nagle played four seasons for the Wolves from 2017 through the spring-adjusted 2021 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.


A regular in the Wolves' lineup, Nagle started in 54 of her 72 career appearances at the NAIA level. While there she tallied 89 shots, with 15 goals and 15 assists for 45 career points.


As a freshman she scored one goal and two assists over 20 games, while scoring a career-best six goals as a sophomore in 17 appearances. She scored a career-best 16 poinst with five goals and six assists as a junior, before finishing up her career with three goals and six assists as a senior.


Nagle graduated from Cardinal Stritch with a degree in International Business and currently works in the Greater Milwaukee area. She is currently attending Alverno to obtain her Master's Degree.
