Patrick Ritter

Patrick Ritter is the new head women’s soccer coach at Bluefield University. Ritter takes the helm of the Rams’ program with more than a decade of soccer coaching experience, most recently as the assistant coach at NCAA Division II Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri.

At MSSU Ritter coached 11 All-Conference performers, and members of the team during his tenure garnered 36 conference academic awards. The team was second in NCAA Division II for volunteer hours during the 2020-21 season and team GPAs were 3.38 in 2019-20, and 3.44 in 2020-21.

Ritter has also coached at NCAA Division I Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas, Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota, and Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He has club coaching experience with the Dakota Olympic Development Program, and the Dakota Alliance Soccer Club.

Ritter holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Dakota Wesleyan University, and an M.A. in Sports Administration from the University of Saint Mary. He holds certifications from the United Soccer Coaches, the United States Soccer Federation, the U.S. Men’s National Team Symposium, and the American Red Cross.
