Allen Duda

Head Coach Allen Duda has documented history coaching the game of soccer. He has a vast array of experience in developing youth players in the Pittsburgh area and coaching various age levels, including his current role as the Head Coach of the Carlow University Women’s Soccer team.


It didn’t take Coach Duda long to have an impact on the women’s soccer program at Carlow University. In his first season with the team he was named the River States Conference Coach of the Year. Carlow earned the No. 3 seed in the conference playoffs in the 2018 season. The Celtics reached the semifinals before falling to No. 2 Asbury (Ky.), 1-0.


Duda has coached soccer for over 25 years. He has been Director of Elite Development Academy for the Pittsburgh Football Club and is also involved in local training and skill development with Next Level Soccer Training. He is a USSF nationally licensed coach who holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Sports Management from Slippery Rock University.


Duda grew up in Peters Township playing for reputable youth clubs. In high school, he was recognized as an All-State, All-Region, and All-American for his efforts as a four-year starter at Peters Township High School.

Carl Zappa

Carl Zappa joined the team for its inaugural season in the fall of 2016, helping guide the Celtics to a 5-9 record. Zappa earned his bachelor's degree and MBA from Point Park University, where he competed in the American Mideast Conference and was an NAIA Scholar-Athlete.
