Hawken Hanna

Hanna brings a wealth of coaching experience to DCTC, most recently as the Men's Soccer Assistant Coach for Fort Lewis College, an NCAA Division 2 member in Durango, Colorado. During this time he also worked as a sport performance coach with youth athletes.


Prior to that, Hanna served as the Head Men's Soccer Coach at Central Community College, where he led the team to three straight playoff berths, and an back-to-back region IX championships in 2019 and 2020.


He has also spent time as the interim head coach for the women's team at Trinidad State Junior College in Colorado following one year as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s soccer teams.


At the high school level, Hanna has held head coaching jobs for both boys and girls teams throughout Michigan and Colorado.


As a player, Hanna was a four-year starter and three-year captain at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado. As a senior, he received All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference team honors. Hanna was also named as an NCAA Division II Scholar Athlete for his work in the classroom.


Also a four-year starter and a three-year captain at Haslett High School in Michigan, Hanna earned four all-league honors, three all-district honors, two all-region honors, and two all-state honors.


Hanna has a bachelor's degree in sociology from Adams State University and also holds a masters degree in Recreation Managment from the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse. He currently holds anc "Advanced National" Diploma from United Soccer Coaches and is a CSCS-NSCA certified strength & conditioning coach.
