Courtney Morgan

Courtney Morgan became the Head Coach at GMC in 2014 after working as the assistant coach for three seasons for the GMC Men's and Women's Soccer teams. Since she took the helm, the program has been on a constant upswing. She has amassed a 62-52-6 record and has made three consecutive NJCAA Region 17 Championship games. In 2017, The Bulldogs captured the Region 17 title and earned the first NJCAA National Championship Tournament berth.


Coach Morgan coached for two years at Heritage High School in Conyers, Georgia. She played collegiately at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. After tearing her ACL in the first game of her senior season, Morgan rejoined the staff as an assistant student coach. While playing at Emmanuel College, she earned All-Region honors and was voted team MVP by her teammates; she was also the team's captain.


Coach Morgan has coached many club teams, including Rockdale Youth Soccer (RYSA), Macon Soccer Club (MSC), and Madison Youth Soccer (MAYSA). She holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF D) coaching license.

Courtney is married to Jacob Young and has two children.

Lindsey Mathis

Lindsey Mathis joined the GMC Bulldogs in 2019 as a student-athlete and is now furthering her coaching experience as the GMC Women’s Assistant Coach. Mathis is a graduate of Harrison High School where she is a 2017 Georgia State Champion and 2019 State Runner-up. Mathis played as a goalkeeper and experienced in ODP-GA and the National Training Center. While playing for the Bulldogs, Mathis suffered from an ACL tear in her right knee, which pushed her towards coaching. After undergoing physical therapy, she decided to come back and play for the 2021-2022 year, then decided after her season that she wanted to coach.

Dave Sexton

Dave Sexton has completed six seasons as Head Coach of the Men's soccer team at GMC. The 2019 season was another good one for the Bulldogs as they became Region 17 Champions for the fifth successive year, and made the South East District Tournament for the 4th successive year. The team’s record for the 2019 campaign was an impressive 12-5, and their six-year record under Coach Sexton is 74-27-2. Other highlights in the programs’ short history include qualifying for the 2018 NJCAA National Tournament (12 teams) for the first time in the program’s history.


Before coming to GMC, Coach Sexton spent two years as an assistant coach at Southern Polytechnic State University (NAIA) and one year at Georgia Perimeter College (NAIA). Prior to that, he spent 13 successful years as the Head Coach at Louisburg College in North Carolina. During his time as the head coach at Louisburg, he compiled an overall record of 196-55-11. The team made six trips to the NJCAA National Tournament and was a National Semi-Finalist three times. Coach Sexton was Region X Coach of the Year on eight occasions and South East District coach five times. Coach Sexton’s overall collegiate head coaching record is 270-82-13 in 19 seasons.


Coach Sexton has over 20 years’ experience coaching soccer in the UK and the US-in addition to coaching at the college level, he has club coaching experience in his native country England, as we as club and ODP experience in both North Carolina and Georgia. He holds a Union of European Football Association (UEFA) "A" coaching license and a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) "A" coaching license.

Allen Luton

Men's Soccer Assistant Coach Allen Luton joined the GMC staff in 2022. Prior to that he spent five years at Middle Georgia State University as Men’s Soccer Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. Overall, he has more than 14 years of coaching experience, having served as a U.S. Olympic Development Program (ODP) Staff Coach in Georgia, as well as head coaching stints at Macon Soccer Club (AFC Lightning affiliate), Southern Alliance Futból, Central Georgia Soccer Association, and Athens United Soccer Association. He was also the Head Coach at Mary Persons High School in Forsyth, Ga. (‘13-18), winning three Class AAAA region titles.


As a player, the Syracuse, NY native grew up playing in the Long Island Rough Riders academy system (among others) and was New York ODP player before later moving to Georgia. In college, he was a 4-year starter and captain at Brewton-Parker College, where he led the team to its only Conference Title and National Tournament appearances in program history. He graduated third all-time in assists and remains the school’s record-holder for games and minutes played in a career. Following college, Luton then spent five-and-a-half years as a midfielder for the Atlanta Silverbacks, Charleston Battery, and Lafayette Swamp Cats of the USL and A-League, before ending his career with Ouzo FC following multiple back surgeries.


Luton has a Master’s Degree in Education from Georgia College & State University and a Bachelor’s in Political Science. He has a United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Coaching License, Goalkeeping Levels I, II Licenses and USSF C License.
