Notable Achievements

Gordon knocked off the No. 1-seeded Endicott College on the road in the 2017 CCC Semifinals. That 2-1 OT victory was the first time since the 2002 season and broke a 21-game losing streak in the series.

The 2021 team brought home the first CCC Championship in program history with a win over Roger Williams at home.

Before Gordon

Breton joined the Gordon Women’s Soccer staff as an assistant coach in the winter of 2013-2014 and helped guide the Scots to a 13-7-0 overall finish and a trip to the Commonwealth Coast Conference Semifinals in 2014. He then was hired to take over the program from longtime coach Marc Whitehouse, who retired following the 2014 season after 30 years of coaching.

Breton has vast experience working with and developing players at the club, high school, ODP, and collegiate level. Eight years ago he founded the Samba Player Development Academy, the focus of which is soccer development for the individual player. Since that time his Samba Black teams have earned two U.S. Soccer National Futsal Championship titles (2013, 2015), a U.S. Soccer National Futsal Final appearance, and six regional championships. He is considered a Premiere Soccer Trainer and works with academy players, elite ENCL players, U.S. national and regional pool players as well as athletes at all three levels of collegiate soccer.

Additionally, in 2010 Breton helped start Samba International, a nonprofit organization that uses soccer to help meet the needs of children in the country of Malawi. In the four years of the “Samba 24 Hour Playing 2 Save Lives” tournament, his Samba players have raised over $80,000 for Samba International, helping to fund an orphanage and provide 100 Samba Educational Scholarships to the young people of Kongoma, Malawi.
