Jeff Wardlaw

Jeff Wardlaw has served as head women’s soccer coach and director of soccer operations since the spring of 2012. Prior to leading the soccer programs, he was the men’s and women’s graduate assistant coach from 2005-08 and then returned in 2010 as the associate head men’s and women’s coach, a position he held for two seasons. Over the last nine years, Wardlaw has been a vital piece of the puzzle that has helped create a very competitive and nationally recognized program.

Since his time at Greenville, the soccer programs have combined for appearances in three NCAA national tournaments, two NCCAA national tournaments, and six conference tournament championship games. They have won three regular season championships over this period. Now in his 13th year of coaching soccer, Wardlaw has coached at the club, high school, and collegiate levels

As a player, Wardlaw competed at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Ky., where he captained a No. 1 ranked team in the NCCAA. His teams made two national tournament appearances and competed in the NAIA regional finals where they lost twice to eventual national champions Lindsey Wilson. While at Cumberlands, he was a two year captain and received all-conference honors. As a young player, Wardlaw competed in national championships with Team KC, a premier club in the Kansas City area.

Wardlaw received his bachelor of arts in psychology from Mid-America Nazarene University in 2000. After graduation, he worked as a supervisor and team leader at TLC for Children and Families, a boys' and girls' home in Olathe, Kan. Wardlaw completed his master of arts in teaching from Greenville College in 2008.

Wardlaw is also the owner of Southern Illinois Happy Soccer Feet and Legends which is a program that goes to preschools and child daycare centers and introduces "story time with a soccer ball." It introduces advanced balance and physical skills in the most fun way while bringing joy, confidence, and self-concept. Happy Feet participants graduate into Southern Illinois Legends, a soccer club which develops creative, brave, risk takers for life.

Wardlaw currently resides in Edwardsville, Ill., with his wife Kristen and their two sons.

Chris Swift

Chris Swift joined Greenville University in 2013 as head men's soccer coach. Under Swift, the program emphasizes athletic excellence, academic excellence, and spiritual formation and character development. The Panthers will look to build on a very successful season on the field with a view of making it back to the NCAA Tournament. Academically, the program has earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Awards all six years Swift has been at the helm. Additionally, the program has a dedicated character development program and hosts regular Bible studies for team members, while also volunteering with the local recreational soccer program.

Prior to arriving at Greenville, Swift spent four years as an assistant coach at two NCAA Division I institutions (Eastern Kentucky University and Lamar University). In his one season at EKU, the team finished 10-7-3, posting the first winning record in program history. The Lamar University soccer program improved all three years that Swift was a member of the coaching staff, culminating in 2011 when the Cardinals enjoyed the most successful season in the five-year history of the program, earning the No. 3 seed in the Southland Conference Tournament.

A 2006 graduate of Vanguard University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Political Science, Swift holds five coaching certifications – United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma, USSF "C" License, USSF National Youth License, United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Level 3 Diploma, and USA Weightlifting Level 1 Certification.

The site worked great for the tournaments I used it for. I had many coaches respond to my contacting them. The site helped me develop confidence in getting through the recruiting process.
