Michael Prunty

Michael Prunty will embark on his second season as Pipers head women's soccer coach in 2023 (34-29-10, four seasons: three at Coe, one at Hamline).


Prunty arrived to the Pipers from NCAA Division II Concordia-St. Paul, where he was the assistant women's soccer coach for two seasons. After no competition in 2020 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Bears accumulated a 10-7-3 overall record and a spot in the NSIC Tournament Semifinal in 2021.


The Adel, Iowa native was previously the head women's soccer coach at NCAA Division III Coe College for three seasons from 2017-2019. His first season in 2017 resulted in a 12-4-3 overall record, and a No. 5 spot on the NCAA Division III North Region Ranking. The Kohawks registered a 30-20-6 mark throughout Prunty's three seasons. His tenure at Coe ended with 13 All-American Rivers Conference selections, two COSIDA Academic All-Americans, and three United Soccer Coaches All-Region honorees. Prunty was also a lecturer in the Department of Kinesiology at Coe.


Prior to Coe, Prunty was the head girl's soccer coach at Iowa City High School for four seasons.


Prunty's other collegiate coaching stops included two seasons as the head men's soccer coach at NAIA Culver-Stockton College from 2011-12, one season as assistant men's and women's soccer coach at Simpson in 2010, and two seasons as the assistant men's soccer coach at NAIA St. Ambrose University from 2008-2009.


His club coaching background includes stops at Minneapolis City, St. Croix Soccer Academy, Iowa Soccer Club, Quincy United Soccer Club, and Des Moines Menace Academy.


Prunty graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor of arts degree in physical education from Simpson in 2004. He went on to earn a master's degree in education from Saint Ambrose in 2010.

Mandy Pochobradsky

Mandy Pochobradsky will enter her second season as Hamline University assistant women's soccer coach in 2023.


The Cedar Rapids, Iowa native arrived to the Pipers with a multitude of club and high school coaching experience. Pochobradsky currently serves as program coordinator for the Twin Cities Rush Club Soccer Program, a post she's held since July 2018. Prior to the Rush, Pochobradsky spent two years as a staff coach with Alpine Strikers FC based in Woodside, California.


Her high school experience includes an assistant coach stint at Menlo High School (Calif.). She was a staff member at the Minnesota ODP, Stanford Women's Soccer ID, and FC Barcelona Positional Play camps.


Pochobradsky earned her bachelor of arts degree in psychology from University of Iowa in 2012. She holds holds a USSF "C" License.

Tyler Oliver

Tyler Oliver will embark on his first season as Hamline University head men's soccer coach in 2023 (0-0 overall record).

Oliver comes to Hamline after four years with the Gustavus Adolphus College men's soccer program, including the last two as the associate head coach. The Gusties accumulated a 49-10-7 overall record, a 28-3-1 MIAC mark, and a pair of NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament appearances throughout Oliver's three seasons. The 2022 campaign resulted in many benchmarks that included a spot to the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament Elite Eight, the MIAC Regular Season Championship, a MIAC Tournament Championship appearance, the MIAC Defensive Player of the Year, and the No. 8 ranking on the Final United Soccer Coaches Poll.


The 2019 season saw the Gusties claim both the MIAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships. During his time at Gustavus, players earned two MIAC Defender of the Year Awards while four individuals earned five United Soccer Coaches All-American Awards. Gustavus also had nine United Soccer Coaches All-Region Awards, 11 All-MIAC Selections, and five honorable mentions accolades. They also got it done in the classroom obtaining four COSIDA Academic All-American Awards, and nine COSIDA Academic All-District Selections. Gustavus was No. 1 in the United Soccer Coaches North Region Poll at some point in every season Oliver was a part of the program, as well as featured in the Top-25 National Poll each year. The roles of recruiting coordinator, travel logistics, and camp coordination also fell under Oliver's watch at Gustavus Adolphus College.


Oliver kicked off his career at NCAA Division III Elmhurst, where he spent the 2018 campaign as the graduate assistant men's soccer coach. He also served as the varsity reserve team head coach and led them to an 8-0-2 record. During his lone season at Elmhurst, two players went on to play professionally the following season.


Oliver's experience also goes beyond the collegiate ranks, as he has held various head coaching positions with the St. Croix Soccer Clubs, ECNL, and Academy Teams. Tyler has obtained his United States Soccer Federation C-License and is a B-License Applicant.


Oliver began his collegiate playing career at NCAA Division I Eastern Illinois University where he led the team in goals and points his sophomore year. He then transferred to former MIAC rival St. Thomas for his junior and senior seasons. He helped lead the Tommies to two MIAC Regular Season Championships, and two MIAC Tournament Titles; as well as appearances in the 2017 NCAA Division III Tournament Elite Eight, and the 2016 NCAA Final Four. St. Thomas registered a 42-4-3 mark throughout Oliver's two seasons with the program where he was second on the team in points in 2016 and 2017.


Oliver, a native of Oakdale, Minnesota, graduated from North St. Paul High School where he was a three-time All-State attacker as well as a State Champion his senior year in 2013. He graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in business financial management from St. Thomas in 2018. He is currently working toward a master of science degree in coaching & athletic administration from Concordia St. Paul.

Jonah Garcia

Jonah Garcia will embark on his first season as Hamline assistant men's soccer coach in 2023.


Garcia arrived to the Pipers following three seasons at Augsburg, where he was the assistant men's soccer coach. The Eagan, Minnesota native is a former NCAA Division III defender at UW-Superior. He captained the Yellowjackets to the 2017 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament, the team's first-ever appearance in the event. Garcia's senior campaign in 2017 saw him earn UMAC Defender of the Year, All-UMAC First Team, and United Soccer Coaches All-Region honors.


Garcia captained and played for Minneapolis City since 2018 and will continue to do so in 2024. He currently coaches for Minnesota Thunder Academy.


Garcia earned his bachelor's degree from UW-Superior in 2018.
