Randy McClure

Randy McClure enters his fifth season as the head men's and women's soccer coach at Shaw University. McClure took over the reins of both programs before the 2019 season.


McClure comes to Shaw after serving as an assistant coach for the women's soccer program at Catawba. Additionally, he served as the head coach for the developmental team. Prior to Catawba, McClure served as the Director of Coaching & Player Development at Port St. John United Soccer Club (FL). Previously, McClure served as assistant women's soccer coach at Pfeiffer University from 2015-2016.


McClure has an extensive coaching resume, holding the highest credentials from the United States Soccer Federation, United Soccer Coaches (formerly NSCAA), and United States Youth Soccer. He has been coaching for more than 20 years at the high school and youth level. McClure has also served on the Olympic Development Program staff in Minnesota.


McClure was named the 2009 Lee County Athletic Conference Coach of the Year while at South Fort Myers High School (FL) when he led the Wolfpack to its first conference title. He has also led several successful club teams in Florida. McClure currently coaches senior boys and girls for North Carolina Football Club in Raleigh and serves on the staff for the Olympic Development Program in North Carolina.


McClure earned a degree in education from Bowling Green State University in 1992. He also received graduate degrees in English from Chapman University and Bowling Green State University. McClure has four children, and he currently resides in Knightdale.

Salma Luevano

Salma Luevano enters her second season as the assistant women's soccer coach at Shaw University.


Prior to joining the Lady Bears coaching staff, Luevano served as a team captain from 2017-2019 at Shaw while earning a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. She was apart of Shaw's 2018 team that set a program record with a 12-4 overall record and 4-0 mark at home (program best). During her last season she served as a player-coach as the Lady Bears finished 7-9 overall in 2019.


Before transferring to Shaw, Luevano attended Otero Junior College in La Junta, CO.


Aside from working at Shaw, Luevano works with the youth club level at North Carolina Football Club.


A native of Zacatecas, MX, Luevano was raised in Aurora, CO. She currently resides in Raleigh, NC.

Mario Andrade

Mario Andrade enters his third season as the Associate Head Coach for men's soccer at Shaw University under Head Coach Randy McClure for the 2023-24 season.


Andrade comes to Shaw after serving as an assistant at Wake Tech Community College. Prior to Wake Tech, Andrade was a graduate assistant coach at his alma mater, N.C. Wesleyan where he was apart of the staff that took the Battling Bishops to the NCAA Tournament.


Born in Angola, Andrade moved to the United States in 2001. As a former student-athlete, Andrade attended the Community College of Rhode Island where he was later recruited by N.C. Wesleyan. During his time at N.C. Wesleyan, Andrade was named All-Conference Second Team, earned the Sportsmanship Award and helped lead the Bishops through the NCAA DIII East Division Conference Tournament.


He has also played at the semi-pro level in Iceland and the United States. Andrade holds coaching licenses from the United States Soccer Federation and the United Soccer Coaches organization. He has coached youth players as well, including time with the Tar River Youth Soccer Association and the North Carolina Football Club.


Andrade obtained a Sports Management degree with a concentration in Coaching from N.C. Wesleyan in 2017.
