Shaun Warner

Warner comes to Shoreline after a long successful career as the Head Coach of the Bothell High School Men’s and Women’s programs. Warner has been coaching both boy’s and girl’s at the high school level for the past 14 years. He has won Seattle Times coach of the year and is a 3-time KingCo coach of the year. Warner has helped his current girl’s high school team to 3 straight playoff births and the boys team made it to state in 2017. Warner has also coached at the club level with success. In high school, Shaun was a 2-sport varsity athlete playing both soccer and basketball. He then continued to play soccer in college on the club team at Loyola Marymount University.


Shaun is a loving husband to his wife Katy and father to his two children, Kaydence and Zander.

Val Seid

Val Seid brings a wide range of coaching experience to our Women’s Soccer program. Coach Seid started with coaching a recreation team with the YMCA. Seid then went on to coach high school soccer where he coached the boys at Cleveland High School, Ballard High School, and Roosevelt High School (3rd in state, 2 state tournament appearances, 4 conference playoff appearances). Seid also coached the girls at Bellevue High School and Ballard High School (4 conference playoff appearances). In 2006 and 2012, Seid was voted KingCo coach of the year.


Val has also coached at various clubs in the area, including FC Alliance, Crossfire, Emerald City FC, Northwest Nationals, Surf, and most recently at Sound FC.


Coach Seid has won many tournament and state championships (too many to list) and have taken many teams to Regionals. In 2011, his team won the US Club National Championship.


Val has also coached at the collegiate level. He assisted the men’s team at Bellevue College to win the NWAAC championship and assisted the women’s team at Edmonds Community College to their first playoff appearance in 6 years (2018-19).


Most recently, Val was the head coach at Northwest University (NU) where he took his team to two conference finals. In his second year at NU, he led the team to an undefeated season winning the conference and was successful in getting the team nationally ranked in the top 25 each year he was there. He was also voted conference coach of the year in 2014.


Val holds a USSF B license, NSCAA Gk license and a US Youth soccer youth license.

Tai DuBois

Tai DuBois has been coaching premier youth soccer for over 20 years in the greater Puget Sound area. This will be Tai's first year coaching at the college level, and she's very excited to be joining the Phin's staff. Her coaching successes range from coaching a club team to the Far West Regional finals to traveling to Portugal with Washington's Elite Player Development/Olympic Development Program, where her team played in the final against SL Benfica. She received her USSF “B” license in 2009. Tai also holds her KNVB Youth Certificate. She was one of 20 coaches selected from across the nation to receive a full scholarship to attend the KNVB camp hosted in Maryland.


Tai grew up in Edmonds, Washington but now calls downtown Seattle her home. She and her husband live in the city with their title-holding chow chow named Lucky.
