Lexi Stinson

Lexi Stinson has completed her seventh season as the head coach for the University of Dallas women's soccer team. She is the ninth head coach of the program and has the second most wins in program history with a 43-60-12 career record.


Stinson is coming off what is arguably her best ever season, guiding the team to a 9-6-1 overall record and third seed in the SCAC conference tournament. They would fall 2-0 in the semifinals to the eventual champions, Trinity. The team's .594 is the highest mark since 2012, and Stinson surpassed her previous best winning percentage of .579, which she reached in 2019 with a record of 10-7-2. Before Stinson, the Crusaders hadn't posted a winning record since 2012; they now have two winning seasons in the last three years, and four straight conference tournament appearances.


The 2019 team posted a 5-2-1 record in conference play to finish as the four seed, and it is still their most wins in conference play since the 2014 season. Stinson led her team to back-to-back SCAC semifinals in 2018 and 2019, defeating TLU in the quarterfinals both times to reach the semis. Their appearance in the SCAC Tournament was the programs first since 2015.


Stinson previously spent 2016 as an assistant coach with LeTourneau University before being hired in December, 2016 at Dallas for her first head coaching position.


Stinson played soccer at Hardin-Simmons University from 2012-15. A graduate in December, 2015, Stinson earned a Bachelor of Behavioral Science with a major in Criminal Justice and minor in Forensic Studies.


As a goalie for the Cowgirls, Stinson earned three NSCAA All-Regions, four ASC All-Conferences, 2015 ASC Goalkeeper of the Year, 2015 Academic All-ASC, and 2014 ASC All-Tournament Team.

David Hoffmann

David Hoffmann joined the University of Dallas in 2003 and has completed his 20th season as the head coach of the Crusaders. During his tenure, Hoffmann compiled a 165-169-24 record. The 165 victories make Hoffmann the winningest coach across all sports at the University of Dallas. Including a previous stop he has eclipsed the 200 career win mark as a head coach.


A conference final appearance and a SCAC Coach of the year award in 2017 represent the squad’s best finish in the SCAC. Hoffmann was selected Coach-of-the-Year by the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) after the 2006 and 2008 seasons. 2007 saw the Crusaders crowned AD3I Champions amidst a 17-1-1 campaign. In 2008, Hoffmann led the team to a 16-4-1 overall record, the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship and the program's first appearance in the National Collegiate Athletic Conference (NCAA) Tournament. 2009 produced a second consecutive conference finals where the team lost in overtime.


He holds school coaching records at the University of Dallas for winning-percentage in a season (.921; 2007 season 17-1-1), wins in a season (17), wins in a career, and winning percentage for a career.. Additional noteworthy teams records under Hoffmann's tenure include 33 consecutive home games without a loss (2005-2008), most consecutive games without a loss (12), most consecutive wins (10), most goals in a season (84) most assists in a season (73), and most shutouts in a season (10). University of Dallas teams have been ranked by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and the NCAA in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2017 with Hoffmann at the helm.


Hoffmann-coached players have produced a multitude of awards, including the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Capital One Academic All-American, NCAA All-Region Team, All-Team selections, Most Valuable Player, and All-Academic awards from the SCAC, NEAC, AD3I, United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), American Southwest Conference (ASC), National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and NCAA organizations. Several have gone on to play professionally, including one player who has appeared for his full national team and played in the Euros and the UEFA Champions League.


Before coming to University of Dallas, Hoffmann held the position as head coach at Schreiner University for four seasons, where his men's team qualified for the NAIA National Tournament three times advancing to the Sectional finals on all occasions. At the time of his departure he was the winningest coach in that program's history. Additionally, he was the founding coach of the women’s team at Schreiner


Hoffmann holds a NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Diploma with Distinction, USSF "Y" National Youth License, and FA Soccer Psychology Certification. He has served on the NCAA Regional Selection Committee, NCAA National Leadership Conference, has lectured at the NISOA National referee Assignors convention, and been published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research.


Hoffmann recently served on the NCAA National Soccer Committee as the West Region chair.


He resides in Highland Village with his wife Tricia, daughter Trinity, and sons Beckett and Keane.
