Elisha Fry

Elisha Fry takes over in 2023 as just the third coach in program history. Fry comes to UNOH after working as the Lindsey Wilson Assistant Women's Soccer Coach for the past eight years. During her time at LWC, she also served as the Head Coach of the Blue Raiders junior varsity program.


Fry began her coaching career as a Graduate Assistant at The University of Rio Grande from 2013-14 before taking an assistant coach position at NCAA Division III MacMurray College in 2014. She was elevated to Interim Head Coach in March of 2015 before heading to Lindsey Wilson. Fry also coached at the club level leading the Athletico Flame’s U18 and U17 girls’ soccer teams from 2016-19. Fry also serves as an assistant coach at the W League level coaching the Chattanooga Lady Red Wolves as well as the head coach at the U21 Academy.


Fry played her collegiate career at Lindsey Wilson getting named to the Mid-South Conference (MSC) All-Conference team in 2010 and 2012 with a NAIA All-American honor in 2010. She also won the NAIA National Championship in 2012.


Fry graduated from Lindsey Wilson College with a bachelor’s in physical education and health K-12. Fry also has her master’s degree in athletic Coaching and Leadership

Roberto Varela

Roberto Varela enters his fourth season as an assistant coach for the University of Northwestern Ohio women's soccer program for the 2021 season. Prior to UNOH, Varela attended Ohio Christian University where he was the starting goalkeeper during his tenure, averaging seven saves per game. Varela was also a member of the Honduran U15 National team in his home country of Honduras.


Varela earned a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministries from OCU and a second Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management from UNOH.
