Roy Dunshee

Roy Dunshee joined Washington College in 2012 and has guided the team to national prominence. The Shoremen finished the 2022 season with the ninth ranked defense in the country. The team allowed only three goals in conference play and captured the #2 Seed in the Centennial Conference Tournament for the second year in a row. In 2021, the Shoremen earned their first Conference Championship and advanced to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament. They won a program-record 15 matches and finished #10 in the D3soccer.com Poll and #14 in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll. For their efforts, the Shoremen placed six players on All-Conference teams, and Coach Dunshee and his staff were awarded the 2021 Men's Region V Staff of the Year.


In 2016, Dunshee guided the Shoremen to their first trip to the Centennial Conference Tournament, reaching the semifinal round.


Prior to coming to Washington College, Dunshee spent four seasons as the head coach at Severna Park High School in Severna Park, MD. In his four seasons, he led the team to a record of 56-10-4 and three regional championships. He also spent five years coaching at St. Mary's Catholic High School and nearly two decades as Regional Director for Coerver Coaching.


During the winter and spring of 2010, Dunshee served as an assistant coach for Division I Northwestern University, designing and implementing winter and spring training sessions and game plans. Northwestern went on to win the 2011 Big Ten Championship.


Since 2007, Dunshee has worked as an instructor for United Soccer Coaches and in 2019, received the prestigious “Mike Berticelli Excellence in Coaching Education Award”.


Dunshee earned a B.A. in Journalism from the University of South Carolina, where he teamed with Shorewomen Head Coach Tom Reilly for a four-year record of 54-19-5. His additional education includes a Juris Doctorate from George Mason University School of Law and an executive certificate in leadership from the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University.


Dunshee's coaching certifications include USSF A, B, C, and D licenses, US Youth Soccer Y license, and USC Premier, Advanced National, and National Diplomas. His additional professional experience includes five years as an attorney and thirteen years as a restauranteur.

Ryan Shera

Ryan Shera joined the Shoremen in the summer of 2021 after stints with youth clubs in Southern California, Nevada and Maryland as coach, educator, and director. Ryan’s work with refugee players in the Yalla Soccer Club in San Diego was featured on ESPN, NPR, and other national media outlets and in 2016 Ryan was a featured presenter at the US Soccer Foundation Urban Soccer Symposium.


Ryan’s coaching certifications include the USSF A license, the United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma and the US Soccer National Youth License. He has attended coaching courses in Holland, Belgium, Croatia, and Northern Ireland under the tutelage of World Football Academy educators Raymond Verheijen and Marcel Lucassen (former Head of Coach & Player Development at Arsenal).


Ryan played collegiately at Fordham University and Dickinson College and played high school soccer at St. Mary’s of Annapolis under Coach Roy Dunshee. He is a graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law, Order of the Barristers. He served as a federal law clerk in the Southern District of California before entering private practice.

Jeff Reinoehl

Jeff Reinoehl joined the Shoremen's coaching staff in June 2012 as a volunteer assistant coach and goalkeeping coach. Reinoehl previously spent 15 years as a high school and community college coach and has played the sport as a forward, midfielder, and goalkeeper. His resume includes Maryland State High School Championships as both a player and a coach.


From 2006 to 2010 Reinoehl served as head boys soccer coach at Hammond High School in Columbia, MD, guiding his squad to a 2006 state championship. He previously served as an assistant boys soccer coach at Howard High School in Ellicott City, MD, from 1999 to 2004 and as an assistant men's soccer coach at Howard Community College from 1995 to 2000. Howard Community College twice advanced to regional finals with Reinoehl on staff.


Reinoehl played scholastic soccer at Oakland Mills High School in Columbia, winning three consecutive state championships from 1986-1988. He also won two State Cup Championships and had one runner-up finish playing for the Soccer Association of Columbia club team. He went on to play three years of varsity soccer at Shenandoah University, twice winning ECAC Championships.


Reinoehl resides in nearby Centreville with his wife Shelley, daughters Hailey and Ashley, and son Shawn.

James Bedrock

James Bedrock returned to his alma mater as a volunteer assistant men's soccer coach in August 2019. Bedrock was a four-year member of Shoremen Soccer and served as a captain as a senior.


In his four years with the Shoremen, he played both in the field as a midfielder and back and as a goalie. In goal, he notched a pair of shutouts in his career in 12 career contests and played in 37 all-time matches, notching a goal and an assist for three points.


Bedrock earned his degree in Economics from The College and served as the sports editor for The Elm during his time at Washington.
