Joe Luedke

Joe Luedke is in his 24th season as head coach of the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's soccer team.

The Warriors clinched their third 10-win season in program history and first since 2012 a season ago. WLC finished 10-3-5 overall and 6-2-4 in the NACC, posting a program-best .694 winning percentage and coming within a game and a goal of a shared NACC title.

Wisconsin Lutheran made its seventh appearance in the NACC Tournament under Luedke's leadership in 2020. Seven years ago, the Warriors reached the NACC Tournament Final for the first time after winning two conference tournament road matches as the No. 6 seed. WLC finished with a .500 or better overall record for the fifth straight season.

Wisconsin Lutheran won a school-record 11 games in 2012 and reached the NACC Tournament for the first time since 2007. The 2007 NACC Co-Coach of the Year, Luedke saw his team finish 10-9-1 overall and 6-3-1 in conference play.

Luedke has coached 32 different players who have earned a total of 76 all-conference honors in 23 seasons as head coach, including the program's first All-American in Puma Galvan (2022).

Wisconsin Lutheran is the first collegiate head coaching assignment for Luedke, but he is well versed in all aspects of soccer at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels.

Luedke was a standout soccer player at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The forward completed his career with 20 goals, eight assists, and garnered team MVP honors his senior campaign. He earned all-league recognition both his freshman and sophomore seasons. He graduated from UWM in 2001 with a degree in history.

A graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Luedke was a three-sport varsity athlete in soccer, basketball, and baseball. He received the Daniel Nitschke Male Athlete of the Year Award his senior year.
