• CASL Play4Kay
CASL is excited to continue our tradition of hosting an event to benefit a deserving non-profit in our community. Last year, the 4v4 event raised more than $10,000 for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and their mission to end women’s cancer. This year, we have elected to support the Ronald McDonald House of Durham, which provides families the comforts of home and a private bedroom while their child receives medical treatment in Durham and/or Raleigh.
    • Proceeds

Proceeds from this soccer event will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Durham. Families who stay at the 55-bedroom Ronald McDonald House have private bedrooms, inviting community spaces, home-cooked meals and a stocked kitchen, a playroom, computer room, and laundry facilities. Each year, the house welcomes nearly 1,000 families from 90 of 100 counties in NC, 30 states, and 5 foreign countries. To qualify for a room at the house, families must be referred by their social worker or patient resource manager, live more than 50 miles away from the house, have a child (age 21 or younger) who is receiving either outpatient treatment at a local medical facility, in an intensive care unit at the hospital, or receiving inpatient treatment at a facility where parents cannot reside with the patient.
