      • Kickin in Program Wants Your Used Gear

We need your outgrown soccer clothes!   The Kickin' In For Our Kids Program was created at Greensboro United Soccer Association to collect gently used soccer clothing and equipment, among other purposes.  The items are then used in a variety of important outreach efforts in which GUSA exposes disadvantaged kids to the fun of soccer.   For example, most Saturdays in the spring and fall, boys and girls of all sizes and ages from the surrounding neighborhood get free soccer training and lunch at the Church of the Cross in Greensboro.  These kids can't afford expensive cleats, so we provide many of them with gently used cleats and shin guards.   Please check your closets and bring any items you can spare to the Sheetz Labor Day Shootout September 5 & 6.  A collection bin will be located near the entrance to the office building at Bryan Park Soccer Complex.   GUSA and the kids thank you!   If you have questions about the program or would like to help, email Cole Pickford at KickinIn4ourKids@gmail.com.  Accepted items include soccer cleats, shin guards, soccer balls, soccer practice t-shirts and shorts.  We also need sweatpants and jackets made especially for playing soccer.  For a comprehensive list of accepted items, visit the GUSA website and go to the Kickin’ In Program page.
