Mississippi Fire Spring Classic 2014



Due to the projected weather forecast and the amount of rain that we have received overnight, we have no option but to cancel the remainder of the tournament. Many fields will become unplayable as well as unsafe. With only two rounds of games complete, we will be unable to determine champions or finalists. Have a safe trip back home and good luck to all teams on the remainder of their seasons. 

4-4-14 10:50pm - 

The address for Center City Park in Pearl is 1080 Center City Dr Pearl, MS 39208. You will drive past a city park, some baseball fields, a track, a golf course and then you will come to the soccer fields. 

If your team is scheduled for 8v8 play at Center City, please review your schedule since some field numbers had to be changed in past few hours. A few fields didn't drain as well as we had believed they would, so we have changed some field numbers to the backup fields we had ready to go. Please check your schedule for the new field number. They will have signs up as well to help guide you where to go as well. No 8:00 am games are changed. 

04-4-14 12:50pm - The tournament is on as scheduled. We did take into account the potential forecast when initially making schedules. If we happen to lose individual fields, we have backups in place for those fields already and have all week. If you play at the JFC complex, please carpool when possible since there is a potential we will lose some parking in one of the grass lots.

4-2-14 11:00pm The U14 girls schedules have changed. They are now separated back into gold and silver divisions. The U17-U18 girls division had a team drop, schedules are revised with the new team added. Some games in the U13 girls silver division have had time and field changes due to coaching conflicts. 

4-2-14 Please see the document tab. The address for Pearl City Center Complex was previously typed wrong, the field directions document is now updated. 

4-1-14 11:00pm Schedules are now FINAL for the weekend. If any changes are made, the teams will be notified individually. Every effort was made to accomodate all requests received by 5:00pm on March 31. We could not accomodate, consolation, quarterfinal, semifinals, or finals since we have no way of knowing who will advance in those games. Have a safe trip to Jackson and we look forward to hosting your teams. 

3-31-14 10:15pm Schedules will go offline on Tuesday April 1 at 10:00am for the day so that we can work thru the conflicts received as of 5:00 pm on Monday, March 31 as stated below. We will try  to have them back online by 11;00 pm (new time) if not sooner.  An email will go out to all coaches and managers when schedules are back online. .At that time schedules will be considered final for the weekend. If something happens to change, then we will email teams individually notifying them of these changes. 

3-30-14 3:30pm Preliminary Schedules are now posted for the weekend. Every effort has been made to accommodate every request that was received. There were 112 different coaching conflicts and special requests overall among the 218 teams attending. If you have a conflict you would like for us to make an attempt to work thru, please email the request to msfirespringclassic@aol.com by Monday, March 31st at 5:00 pm. You will receive an email back noting the request was received but any changes we may be able to make, you will not see until final schedules are posted. We will try to accommodate the request if we can. Regular bracket game requests were honored. We have no way of determining consolation, quarter-final, semi-final and final matches. We honored potential conflicts when possible, but we cannot honor anymore of these requests since we have no way of knowing who will advance. Schedules will be considered FINAL on Tuesday, April 1 by 7:00pm. A final email will go out to managers and coaches at that time. 


3-19-2014 Registration for the 2014 MS Spring Classic is now CLOSED. If your team is interested in applying for the wait-list should a spot be available after we finalize brackets, please email us at msfirespringclassic@aol.com. Please include your team name, age group and desired bracket (ie, gold, silver, bronze, copper). If a spot becomes available, we will notify you. 

Preliminary schedules for the weekend will be posted the evening of Sunday, March 30th. An email will go out to all managers and coaches at that time. Any changes that we need to try and workout after initial schedules are posted, will need to be emailed to us at msfirespringclassic@aol.com. by Monday, March 31 at 2:00pm. All schedules will be considered final on Tuesday, April 1 by 6:00pm. Another email will go out to all coaches and managers when the schedules are considered final. 

We are pleased to invite YOUR team to apply for the 2014 MS Fire Spring Classic to be held in the Jackson Metro Area, April 4-6, 2014. Only local teams will play Friday night. Registration will open January 1, 2014.

Online Check-in is now available for this event.

What is Online Check-in?

Online Check-in eliminates the need for your team to show up in person before your first game by allowing you to complete the check-in process online. You will be required to upload .pdf files or images to the secure sincSports cloud. The event will determine which documents are required.

There is a $20 non-refundable fee. You must scan documents or take digital photos to complete this process. We will help you through the rest! Please click the link below to begin:

There will be a $5 parking charge for cars and $20 for RV's at all venues at the tournament. Parking passes will be issued to be used the entire weekend which will be good at all venues.

Message from the trainers
Trainers from MS Sports Medicine will be onsite at the JFC and Freedom Ridge Complex on Saturday and Sunday. Please remember that the primary job of our trainers at the tournament is to treat "In Game" injuries, and they have to be available and on call to do that. Ankle pre-wraps etc. are on a best efforts basis only. The trainer will do prewraps if he/she has time and are not dealing with an injury. In order to get prewrapped, players need to bring their own tape and wrap materials

We've enhanced our tournament services to help make your participation in our event more interactive and enjoyable. 

You can sign up for messaging to keep up with the scores of games you can't attend.  Your family and friends at home can also keep up with your results.

Of course, we'll be posting the scores online ASAP and will show the standings and tie-breakers as the tournament progresses.
