Be a part of our global soccer competition, the Georgia World Cup Championships! Each team represents one of the countries competing in the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, and players receive their very own jersey to wear during the course of the tournament. Teams are also be given their country flag to hoist during all games. Players on winning teams are awarded replica world cup trophies!
Just like the official World Cup, teams will be divided into groups. Each group plays a round-robin tournament in which each team is scheduled for matches against other teams in the same group. The top team(s) from each group advance to the knockout stage. Points are used to rank the teams within a group, three for a win, one for a draw and none for a loss.
In the knockout stage, teams play matches, with extra time and penalty shootouts to decide the winner if necessary.
Get your kids excited to watch and learn from the talented group of men slotted for competition during June and July. To put this in perspective, the most-watched Super Bowl game ever only drew 111.5 million viewers earlier this year.
