Welcome to the Triad 6v6 Soccerfest
The
World Futbol Tour is proud to announce the first season of our 6v6
Tour, giving avid amateur adults the same opportunities as our youth
players in the WFT 3v3 Tour. The Triad 6v6 Soccerfest on June 23 is hosted by the SoccerOP. The
tournament will be held at the Bryan Park Soccer Complex. This 1-day 6v6 Tour event is a qualifier for the WFT 6v6 World Cup III to be held on July 29-30, 2012 in Mooresville, NC. Teams also become eligible to enter the Carolinas 6v6 Champions Cup on July 14 in Charlotte.
ABOUT THE 6V6 WORLD FUTBOL TOUR:
Welcome to the inaugural year of the WFT 6v6 Tour. The 6v6 Tour will run concurrent with the WFT 3v3 Tour (youth players). The goal of the tour will be to create an international grassroots adult futbol competition that provides cost effective 1-day tourneys to local teams and teams within 1-2 hours away that can progress to State Champions Cups and qualify for the World Cup III that will include both the 3v3 and 6v6 tours.
Some of the WFT events will offer both tours while others will be stand alone 3v3 or 6v6 tournaments. The vast majority of WFT events are 1-day competitions.
The WFT 6v6 Tour will consist of (3) stages: Local, State, World Cup. Other 6v6 Tour features include:
- State & National Rankings (top 4 teams in each bracket earn ranking points),
- Team pages (team photos, results,..) and complete online tour management through sincSports,
- (3) 30 minute games guaranteed,
- Team & individual awards (1st/2nd),
- 10 player rosters (tour pool of 15),
- * Opportunities for adult leagues to host a WFT 6v6 and 3v3 fundraising tournament
