Season IV News
Season IV of the WFT will introduce the last big step in creating the
“Players’ Tour” as players will have freedom
of futbol expression during match play (see rules for exceptions). Just like in a pickup or street soccer game,
there will not be any adults telling the players what to do or how to do
it. For the players that have been given few opportunities to play or
think for themselves, this will be initially challenging. However, when
they start to figure out the game, it will be a wonderful experience.
For the players that relish the opportunity to play pickup soccer, but
don’t do it enough, this game will be pure fun.
The WFT is introducing 6v6 for the U16 & U18 age groups in addition to the Adult divisions creating small sided events for the whole family.
- 3v3 field sizes: 20 x 30 yds (U6-U12), 25 x 35 yds (U13-14)
- 6v6 field sizes: 40 x 60 yds
- 3v3 Divisions: U6 (Open only), U7-U14 (Gold & Silver)
- 6v6 Divisions: Youth-U16 & U18 (Gold & Silver)
Adult-Men, Women, Coed (Gold & Silver), Masters 30 & 40 (Gold)
- 3v3 Rules of Play (New Rules re: Coaches, Goal Kicks & Kick Ins)
- 6v6 Rules of Play
- All State Champions Cups will be open to teams that have participated in (1) WFT event
- Special Note to Coaches and Parents/Spectators:
It is required of everyone participating in any WFT event this season
to read the Code of Conduct (parents/spectators, coaches) before each
event so that we can maintain a positive environment for the players.
Thank you,
WFT Staff *****
It is the mission of the World Futbol Tour to grow a international futbol tour that not only enhances the enjoyment of the great game of futbol (soccer), but also enhances the skills required to become a true "futboller". We will accomplish this by creating premium small sided events that will be guided by core values that include quality, integrity and innovation.
