About State Cup

Tournament Eligibility
The State Cup is open to all teams u13 and older, registered and in good standing with Georgia Soccer.

Players and Teams
All teams and players must be registered with Georgia Soccer. A valid Georgia Soccer roster and player cards for each player, along with an official Tournament Roster, are required to participate.

Awards
Individual awards for 1st and 2nd place teams in each competitive age division.

Play-in Games
Round-robin groups will consist of 4, 8, 12 or 16 teams. As a result there may be a number of single elimination play-in games to determine round-robin participants.
Teams that do not advance out of the play-in round will receive a refund of one-half of their entry fee.

Fees and Deadlines
All entries due April 17, 2013.
Entry fee - $675.00.
$300.00 additional late entry fee. Late registration deadline April 19, 2013.

On-line Registration:
On-line registrations are quick and easy. On-line registrations may be paid by check or credit card. If a team withdraws prior to the close of entries, their entry fee will be refunded minus a $50.00 administrative fee. Once entries close, there will be no refunds of entry fees.

If the tournament is canceled due to weather or Acts of God, approximately one-half of the entry fee will be refunded.

Referees
Georgia Soccer is always looking for qualified referees. If you would like to referee, please send referee information to Mike Wight at mikewright@mindspring.com.

News

Help us help the folks in Oklahoma. Drop off a Home Depot or Lowe's gift card at the t-shirt stand. All gift cards will be distributed to familes who need assistance by Oklahoma Soccer.

5.25 - The games are starting on time. Good luck to all teams.

5.22 - Oklahoma has confirmed that Southern Regionals will be played in Edmond, OK as scheduled.

5.21 - Georgia Soccer has adopted a Concussion Policy that will be followed at State Cup and all Georgia Soccer events. Please read and become familiar with the policy posted under the DOCUMENTS tab.

CSU is offering use of their indoor swimming pool for State Cup teams this weekend. Please see the CSU swimming page for details. And, don't miss the Silverbacks Women v the CSU Panthers game on Saturday night at the CSU Stadium. Check it out under the THINGS TO DO tab.

CHECK-IN FOR TEAMS IN THE ROUND ROBIN STAGE IS TUESDAY, MAY 21 at the Georgia Soccer office from 2-6pm. Failure to Check-In by 6pm will result in a $250 fine, per State Cup Rules.

SUNDAY PLAY-IN GAME IMPORTANT INFORMATION

3:15 pm - Rescheduling options have been emailed and are posted under the Sunday Play-In tab.

1:30 pm - If your field is unplayable, your game will be postponed and rescheduled for a day this week. We are unable to reschedule any more games for today.

12:30 pm - We have added a Sunday Play-in game tab above. Please check the tab to see possible delays because of referees traveling from game to game. This is not to show any game venue/time changes. Teams are advising their players of any time/venue changes. As you know, things are changing quickly so please check back and keep in contact with your coach/team manger.

Today's forecast is for rain and storms. Play-in games will be played unless fields are closed or conditions become unsafe. Some complexes remained open yesterday for play-in games even though they closed for regular season games. Please check with your coach or manager for field updates.

In case of severe weather, the field will be cleared immediately until it is safe to resume play.

4.29 - Play-in game information is due tomorrow, Wednesday, May 1. For details see the TEAMS tab/Play-In Game Information.

4.25 - Seeds and Play-In game information are now posted under the TEAMS tab.

4.19 - 4:30 pm. Applications now closed. Seeds will be posted on Thursday, April 25.
