Everton Florida in association with the St Petersburg Raiders Soccer Club is pleased to invite your team to apply to the Everton Florida Spring Challenge, March 14 - 16, 2008. Now in its 21st year, the Raiders is one of Florida’s premier clubs. This tournament offers competitive soccer for boys and girls teams ages U13-U19. It provides a highly competitve FYSA-sanctioned tournament environment, with a focus on state cup competition.

  • State Cup Teams or Higher
  • President’s Cup Participants
  • Premier or Division 1 Teams

Winning teams will recieve an Eveton Cup that will be returned the following year when the team returns free of charge to defend their title. 

Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a great weekend of soccer at a great club and in a great town. Better yet, the event is at St. Petersburg’s Puryear Park located in close proximity to Tampa International Airport.  Come and enjoy spring break in Florida.  We are convenient to:

All teams are guaranteed three games full length games Open to Division 1/Premier teams, President Cup Participants, State Cup teams, and out of state teams.   
Boys & Girls: U13 - U19 are welcome.

2008 Everton Florida Spring Challenge- College Recruiting

The Everton Florida Spring Challenge offers an exciting opportunity for the soccer players to be seen by coaches from some of the top NCAA and NAIA schools in the country. With an emphasis on preparation for upcoming State Cup competitions, and also for players to showcase their skills in fromt of college coaches, the Everton Florida Sprng Challenge provides the ideal opportunity to get seen by that college coach.

There will be a COllege Search Q and A session with some of the top college coaches in attendance. the Event will take place at Puryear Park clubhouse at 7pm on Saturday, March 15th, 2007.

In the meeting, we will give information on:

  • Soccer scholarships
  • Academic scholarships
  • Playing time
  • Academics
  • Difference between NCAA 1- 3/ NAIA
  • What College Coaches look for
  • What is the best school for you

The Everton Florida Spring Challenge has partnered with Soccer In College to enhance the services offered to participants of the tournament.

Teams entering the Everton Spring Challenge will be grouped according to past playing record to make the most competitive divisions possible. The Everton Spring Challenge Committee determines final placement based on many factors when ranking teams including: league playing division and record, State Cup and tournament results, ranking services, etc. The Everton Spring Challenge has chosen the Soccer In College National Ranking system for our tournament ranking service.

In association with the world renowned Everton Football Club of the English Premier League, St. Pere Raiders are excited to introduce a tournament designed for elite level teams wanting elite level competition.  The tournament is open to state cup level teams, priemier and division 1 level teams and takes place at a perfect time for preparations for State Cup.  However, we can provide some more information on upcoming dates and pertinent facts.  Take note of these key dates and tournament highlights below 

Entry Fees for all Teams:  $575

February 29th:      Applications close and full payment due

March 7th:            Final schedules posted

March 14th, 6pm:   Team registration and check in

WHAT TO BRING TO REGISTRATION AND CHECK IN:
In order to make the registration process as smooth as possible please have all player passes, medical releases and roster in alphabetical order.
 
ROSTERS - Bring 4 copies. Acceptable rosters are:  US Club Roster, State Generated roster. Guest player forms must be attached to the state generated roster and signed by your Club Registrar. Please also handwrite the guest players on the state generated roster,  these will be signed off by an official of our Club at Check-in.
 
MEDICAL RELEASE FORM- Every rostered or guest player must have a notarized medical release at check in. You may use the current forms you are using for travel as long as they are notarized. Please organize in alphabetical order to insure a smooth check in process
 
COACHES & PLAYER PASSES - All coaches & players must have valid, laminated player passes with the necessary signatures & picture. Please place these on a ring binder and have them in alphabetical order to ensure a smooth check in process.
 
Emergency Contact Form - To be kept on file by tournament committee so that in the event of inclement weather or an emergency we can contact coaches and team managers at their hotel, home or cell.
