The CASL National Soccer Series presented by Chelsea FC has selected Partners In Team Travel, LLC (PITT) as the official housing agent for the 2011 CASL National Soccer Series. They have negotiated rates with over 90 hotels in the Raleigh/Durham area to accommodate out-of-town teams.

All teams participating in the tournament are REQUIRED to make their hotel reservations with PITT.

You do not need to call the hotels directly to make your reservations. Instead of calling multiple hotels looking for available rooms, PITT will take care of that work for you. Please communicate directly with PITT for all of your hotel requirements.

Hotel assignments will be made on a first come, first serve basis. Teams are eligible to register for housing as soon as they have registered with CASL for the event.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL ACCEPTANCES. Rooms fill quickly so register as soon as you are eligible.

EXCEPTION: Teams applying for the Girls Showcase WILL NOT be allowed to register for housing UNTIL THEY HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED TO THE TOURNAMENT!  Once they have been accepted to the tournament, they will be able to register for housing and confirm housing reservations.

Teams applying for all other CASL Events should register immediately, and their housing will be confirmed once they have been accepted.

The Process:

28 days before arrival – We have to send the hotels a “Room Block Letter”. This letter tells them the names of the teams that we have booked and how many rooms each will take. On this day we have to release any unused rooms back to their general inventory. After this date if there are any new teams we can try to take rooms back, but they are out of our control and on busy tournament weekends this can very difficult. Ideally acceptances would be posted by this date.

15 days before arrival – “1st Cancellation Cutoff” – This is the biggest hotel date. Teams are required to provide a credit card to guarantee their rooms by this date. This is the date where cancellation penalties begin so the last date that teams can cancel their entire block of rooms. After this date, for the next week, the teams can cancel 30% of their rooms/room nights without penalty. For most events, this means a team can not cancel their Friday night stay without penalty. Ideally the game schedule with field assignments would be posted before this date so teams who live within a couple hours could make their decisions about Friday night. If there are field changes after this date it is very difficult to move teams because of the cancellation penalties.

8 days before arrival – “2nd Cancellation Cutoff” – Until this date the teams can cancel 30% of their rooms without penalty.

2 days before arrival – “Final Cancellation Cutoff” – Until this date the teams can cancel a maximum of 2 rooms without penalty, provided they haven’t gone over the original 30%. After this date, any cancellation can result in a one-night penalty. The penalties are charged by the hotels and sometimes they are able to waive these on a case by case basis.

The most important date is the 15 days before arrival. We hope this gives you a better understanding

of the process the teams follow for the hotel reservations.
