REFEREE INSTRUCTIONS

In order to stay on schedule, please utilize a running clock. Half-times for all matches

should be at least 5 minutes and no longer than 10 minutes. Game times published in the Rules should be adhered to.

• Tournament rules may be downloaded from the tournament website (www.nasa-classic.com)

• In case of inclement weather, field conditions will be updated on our web site and information line – (770) 512-2985 or website:  www.nasa-ga.org and go to the applicable venue.

• Site Coordinators will have a copy of the rules, a master schedule for the venue and the master referee schedule for the venue.

• All decisions regarding inclement weather conditions will be made by the Site Coordinator /Tournament Committee.

AT THE MATCH:

ü  Center referee should obtain game card/rosters from each team.

ü  Referees are NOT required to check player passes or rosters before the game (this was done at check-in).  They may check passes if they deem it necessary.

ü   Use the game card to note any caution, ejection or other remarks and submit an incident report to the Site Coordinator for any player and coach misconduct.  If you have sent off any players/coaches/spectators, please stop by the Venue Headquarters before leaving the field and complete a Report of Misconduct for the incident. Please be sure to put your narative on the back.  That also holds true for serious injuries – a report must be filed.

ü  Mark the scores and the name of the winning team on the game card and have the winning coach sign the card to verify the score.  A Field Marshal, the winning coach (home team if there’s a tie) or a referee can take the card to the Site Director – but, PLEASE turn them in promptly so the scores can be turned in and the website updated.

The referees will be paid based on the assignor’s schedule for each game, so if there was a change in the schedule, it must be noted on the official schedule in the clubhouse.
