The purpose of this screen is to define division and seeding placement. This step is not required for less complex scheduling procedures.
Restricted Access: You do not need to be logged in to access the pre-seed process, however, you must know the correct code. Authorized personnel will have received the proper code from the director.
Enter the correct code into the text box and click "
Staff Access". If the team list does not appear in a few moments; your code is incorrect.
Once you have entered the proper code you will see a list of teams divided by age group. You may click the "eye" next to any team to view their contact information. You should enter a sequence number in the text box to the right side of any team to record their recommended seeding position.
There are three fields that may be updated for each team.
- AGE - This is the age group the team will be playing with. You may move it up to two ages up or down. Select the appropriate age group if you wish to move the team. It will be moved to the selected age and the division and pre-seed will be cleared.
- DIV - Age groups may be divided into multiple playing divisions. Teams will normally only play against other teams in their division all the way through to the final (other than extra non-counting games). Teams may be divided into multiple groups within their division at a later stage in the scheduling process.
- PRE - If teams will play in a format where seeding by strength is important, number teams within each division starting at 1 to order the teams by strength. If you wish to identify divisions but the seeding within groups is
unimportant, you may leave the pre-seeding field blank and define the divisions only.
Once you have entered your recommendations, click "
Update Seeds" to save your choices.
