  • Michael Calabretta
    College


    Mike Calabretta, in his fourth year as an assistant coach at Georgetown University, has been involved at the club level since 2000. Working in both the Bethesda Soccer Club and Reston Football Club, Calabretta established himself early on as one of the area's prominent young coaches. In his first two years he collected a record of 81-17-10 highlighted by a European Championship in the world's third largest youth tournament. In 2003, Calabretta helped start the girls program at RFC, which rapidly emerged as one of the best in the nation. By 2005, RFC was ranked as the #1 club in Virginia and #4 in Region I. A member of the Region I Girls Olympic Development Program (ODP) staff, Calabretta has also been involved with the Maryland ODP on the boys side serving as a staff coach from
    1999-2000. At both the ODP and club levels, he has helped to develop players for the U.S. Youth National and Regional teams. In 2001, he took over as the Director of Player Development for the Maryland SoccerPlex in Germantown, MD, a position he held for two and a half years. His teams have enjoyed outstanding records of success and have been consistently ranked among the top club teams in the country. Calabretta holds licenses from both the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).


  • Kris Hazard

    Kris Hazard, in his second year as an Assistant Coach at American University, has been involved at the club level since 2003 working in Ohio, Indiana and now Virginia with the Regional Football Club (RFC). In 2005, RFC was ranked as the #1 club in Virginia and # 4 in Region I. Hazard established himself early in his career as a prominent young coach. A member of the Region II Olympic Development Program(ODP)staff, Hazard has been involved with the Indiana ODP on the boys side serving as a staff coach from 2007 2008. At the ODP, Club and Collegiate levels, he has helped to develop players who have become All Americans as well as playing for their US Regional teams. Prior to his move to American, Hazard was with Wittenberg University from 2003 - 2005 as Assistant Coach and then TriState University from 2006 - 2008 where he was Head Coach. His teams have enjoyed outstanding records of success and have been consistently ranked among the top teams in the country. Hazard holds an “A” license from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).
