THE 2012 WFT 6V6 TOUR HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL
THE 2012-13 SEASON

This spring, the World Futbol Tour will kickoff its 2nd tour, the 6v6 Tour, on May 19 in West Columbia, SC. As will be the case in many WFT events, both tours, 3v3-youth and 6v6-adult, will operate side by side. However, there will some standalone 6v6 and 3v3 tournaments.

"It makes perfect sense to promote a 6v6 adult tour to complement the 3v3 youth tour. There already exists an infrastructure of 6v6 leagues and 6v6 tournaments throughout the US, which we plan to work with" states Kenyon Cook, WFT Director.  Small-sided adult soccer such as 6v6 & 7v7 is the fastest growing segment of adult soccer in the US both indoors and outdoors. Coinciding with the 3v3 tour, the 6v6 tour will offer local 1-day events throughout the year in the same states providing adult teams the opportunity to compete in several 6v6 tourneys without having to travel more than a few hours.

As local tournaments grow, states will hold a WFT State Champions Cup for 3v3 and 6v6 to declare its small-sided champions. The final leg of the tours will be the WFT World Cup which will be held in a different city each year. World Cup I was held in Myrtle Beach, while World Cup II was held in Atlanta, GA. The WFT World Cup III will be held on July 28-29 in Mooresville, NC, 30 minutes from Charlotte. This summer there will be (2) State Champions Cup: GA, and NC/SC.

The World Futbol Tour welcomes adult futbollers from across the country to join our tour.

If your soccer league or club/organization would like to host a 6v6 or 3v3/6v6 event, please email us at support@worldfutboltour.com for more details.
