Classification and Purpose
Dynamo Juniors Soccer Club conducts the Battle of the Boot for Premier teams registered with the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA) and US Club. The Battle of the Boot is sanctioned through the Louisiana Soccer Association (LSA) and open to boys and girls premier teams from U-9 through U-19. U11-U12 WILL PLAY 9 V 9. All U9 & U10 games will be played within a festival format (3 games). The Battle of the Boot's purpose continues to be to foster and advance the highest level of competitive soccer while promoting the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, and courage.
Entry Requirements
Teams wishing to enter The Battle of the Boot should submit an online application is now open and ending on 11/5. After November 5th, teams will be enter based on availability. The entry fee is $250 for U10 Festival, $500 U11-U12, $550 for U13-U15 & $575 for U16-U19. Teams will be accepted to participate based on their competitive record in order to guarantee quality matches for all teams. The 2020 Battle of the Boot Tournament has been happy to host teams from the states of Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, and Alabama at the beautiful St. Julien Park Soccer Fields, at Broussard Sports Complex The address is 701 St. Nazaire Road, Broussard, LA 70516
The St. Julien Park soccer complex is a 6 field soccer complex with 5 grass fields and 1 artifcial turf field. All fields have lights. The Turf fields is the only field in Louisiana that has been certified by FIFA for use within its competitions.
Game Information
All teams will be scheduled to play at least three games. Depending on the number of teams in an age group, bracket play followed by playoff(s) or a round-robin format may be scheduled. Every effort will be made to form USYSA single age divisions; however the Tournament Director reserves the right to combine age groups if needed. Games will be played at St. Julien Park. Acoholic beverages are not allowed at the park. Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas
All players participating must be registered to the team on which they are playing, and a player may only participate with one team in the tournament. Guest players are allowed per LSA bylaws: a maximum of three guest players, per team.
FIFA Laws of the Game will apply except as amended in the Playing Rules.
