Mat Dunn

Since Mat Dunn took over at the helm of the Keiser Women’s Soccer squad in 2011, the Seahawks have won 214 games, averaging over 17 wins per season. Dunn led the Seahawks to back-to-back NAIA National Championships in 2019 and 2020, and was named the NAIA Coach of the Year in both years.

2022

Notched 22 wins on the season, reaching the NAIA Final Four for the sixth time in program history

Finished the regular season undefeated for the second time in program history

Claimed his 11th SUN Regular Season Title in addition to his fifth SUN Tournament title as the head coach

Recorded 79 goals and 83 assists on the year

Under Dunn, the team set the single season program record for most shutouts in a season with 17

Guided Kyoka Koshijima to a Sun Conference Player of the Year award

Six SUN First Team honors, three SUN Second Team winners and 10 SUN Academic All-Conference winners

Six NAIA All-Americans in addition to 10 NAIA Scholar Athletes


2021

Finished the season with 16 wins, including nine Sun Conference victories

Captured their 16th SUN Regular Season title

KU went 3-2 against Top 25 teams this season

The Seahawks fell to St. Thomas in the opening round of the the Sun Conference Tournament

Coached the Sun Conference Player, Maja Henriksson

Aided in a conference-best nine All-Conference selections, including six on the First Team

Instructed three NAIA All-Americans including one First Team member

Off the field, 14 athletes were named to the Academic All-Conference team


2020*

Guided the Seahawks to their second straight NAIA National Championship, defeating No. 1 William Carey, 2-1 in overtime

Earned back-to-back NAIA Coach of the Year honors

Guided the Seahawks to an 11-1-1 overall record and 8-1-0 mark in conference during the fall season

Led Keiser to an 8-1-1 mark during the spring season

KU went 4-2-2 against Top 25 teams this season

In the NAIA, Keiser ranked first in assists (86) and second in goals (97)

The Seahawks advanced to the Sun Conference Championship game, falling to No. 4 Southeastern in penalty kicks

Coached the Sun Conference Player, Maja Henriksson

Aided in a conference-best nine All-Conference selections, including six on the First Team

Instructed six NAIA All-Americans including three on the First Team

2019

Led Keiser to their first-ever NAIA National Championship with a 2-0 victory against Marian in the final game

The Seahawks were ranked No. 1 in eight of the NAIA Top 25 polls

Finished with a program-best 24-1-0 overall record and 10-0-0 mark in conference

Ended the year on a 22 game winning streak, the longest in program history

Claimed the Sun Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships

Coached seven NAIA All-Americans with four earning First Team honors, the most in the NAIA

Had a conference-best six players receive First Team All-Conference honors

One player earned Second Team All-Conference honors and three received Honorable Mention recognition

Coached back-to-back Sun Conference Freshman of the Year

2018

The Seahawks won 20 games, reaching the NAIA National Championship for the first time in school history

The Final Four appearance was the third in program history for the Seahawks

Notched a share of the TSC Regular Season Title in addition to winning the TSC Tournament Championship in penalty kicks against No. 1 Southeastern

Boasted a 6-3-2 record against teams ranked inside the NAIA Top 25

Six TSC First Team honors, two TSC Second Team winners and ten TSC Academic All-Conference winners

Coached the Sun Conference Freshman of the Year, Matilda Ovenberger

Netted six NAIA All-Americans, in addition to three NAIA Academic All-American winners

Had two players, Filippa Millqvist and Ovenberger garner NAIA All-Tournament team recognition

The coaching staff was named the East Region Staff of the Year

Recorded the most shutouts in program history with 14 including a stretch of seven consecutive

Tallied 90 goals and 89 assists on the year, both ranking second most in school history

Millqvist ranked first in the NAIA in total assists (22)

Ovenberger was fifth in the country in game-winning goals (9), sixth in total goals (32), and seventh in total points (69)

The Seahawks broke four individual season records including; Ovenberger (32 goals), Millqvist (22 assists), Ovenberger (69 points), and Nina Haeberlin (82 saves)


2017

Finished the season with 15-wins, including a perfect 10-0-0 record in Sun Conference games

Claimed a seventh-straight TSC Regular Season Championship

Coached five TSC First Team players, two Second Team players and five to the Honorable Mention squad

Had two NAIA All-Americans in addition to two being named NAIA Academic All-Americans

Ranked first in the NAIA in shots per game with 26.37

Filippa Millqvist ranked fourth in the NAIA in assists per game (.84) and fifth in total assists (16)


2016

Took home TSC Coach of the Year honors for the first time in his coaching career

Won a program-record 18 games en route to a sixth-consecutive TSC Regular Season title and third-straight TSC Tournament title

Began the season 15-0-0 for just the second time in school history

Tied a program record for shutout wins with 12, a record set in 2008

Ebba Blomqvist took home the TSC Player of the Year honors, marking the first Seahawk since 2013 to do so

Five TSC First Team honorees, four TSC Second Team honors and seven TSC Academic All-Conference winners

Four NAIA All-Americans in addition to five NAIA Academic All-Americans


2015

Johanna Engberg ranked first in the NAIA in game-winning goals (9), third in total goals (30) and third in total points (72)

2013

Recorded 17 wins during the year, reaching the NAIA Final Four for the first time in program history

Notched a third-consecutive TSC Regular Season title as head coach

Recorded the third-most goals in a single season in program history with 79, while collecting 60 assists on the year

Ranked Top 10 in the NAIA in five major categories including 4th in goals (79) and 7th in assists (60)

Coached Helen Lynskey to her fourth consecutive TSC Player of the Year award

Three TSC First Team honorees, three TSC Second Team winners and six TSC Academic All-Conference selections

Three NAIA All-Americans in addition to three NAIA Academic All-Americans


2012

Guided the Seahawks to 15 wins, claiming his second-consecutive TSC Regular Season title as the head coach after finishing undefeated in conference play

Finished the campaign with 76 goals scored and 57 assists, led by Helen Lynskey with 30 goals and 11 assists

Lynskey was named TSC Player of the Year for the third consecutive year, ranking 5th in the NAIA in goals and 16th in assists

Taryn Pardoe was named TSC Newcomer of the Year

Three TSC First Team honorees and three TSC Second Team winners

Two NAIA All-Americans in addition to one NAIA Academic All-American


2011

Guided Keiser to a 15-win season, claiming 10 Sun Conference victories to notch his first TSC Regular Season title as the head coach of the Seahawks

Finished the year recording 78 goals and 63 assists under Dunn’s guidance

Lynskey was named TSC Player of the Year for the second consecutive season, ranking 3rd in the NAIA in goals (27) and 6th in assists (16)

Amy Vaughan named TSC Newcomer of the Year

Five TSC First Team honorees and four TSC Second Team winners

Two NAIA All-Americans in Helen Lynskey and Matilda Ojaniemi


Playing Career

Was a member of the Northwood Men's Soccer team and captained his squad to their first Sun Conference Championship and an appearance in the NAIA National Tournament in 2006. The Seahawks advanced to the NAIA Elite Eight with a second round win over top-seeded Auburn-Montgomery.


Personal

Hailing from Sheffield, England, Dunn graduated from Northwood in 2007 with his B.A. in Business, and received his Master's from Keiser. He is married to his wife Gaby Chacon, a former Northwood golfer, and has a daughter Lilly and son Eric.

Taryn Pardoe

Pardoe’s Paragraph

Enters her fourth year as an Assistant Coach of the Keiser University women’s soccer team

Helped the Seahawks to their second straight NAIA National Championship in 2020

Aided in the Seahawks to an overall record of 57-6-3 overall and 25-1-0 in Sun Conference play

Assisted in back-to-back-to-back Sun Conference Player of the Year awards and 28 All-Conference selections

Guided 15 NAIA All-Americans as a member of the coaching staff


Pre-Keiser

Pardoe works with the Palm Beach Gardens Predator and has spent time with the Massive Soccer Academy.


Playing Career

Pardoe started her collegiate career at Tyler Junior College for two seasons before playing a season at Northwood University and UNOH. As a sophomore at Tyler, she helped them to an NJCAA National Championship. At Northwood, she was named the Newcomer of the Year and was a First Team All-Conference honoree. With UNOH, she garnered First Team All-Conference honors.


Personal

Pardoe graduated from UNOH with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

Enters his seventh year as a coach at Keiser University

Playing Career

Mooney was a four-year member of the Seahawks men’s soccer team as a defender. He was twice named All-Conference, while appearing in 61 career games with two goals and five assists.


Personal

Mooney graduated from Northwood University in 2014 with a degree in marketing. He is currently enrolled in the MBA program at Keiser University.
