Coach Phillip Borde has been coaching at Brewton-Parker since the 2018-19 seas. He was initially hired as the women's assistant soccer coach in July of 2018 and was added to the men's soccer coaching staff in 2019. In addition to serving both programs, Borde was promoted to head recruiter for the women's soccer program.
Before coming to Brewton-Parker, Phillip coached for the Florida Rush Soccer Club from 2013 to 2018. During his time with the Florida Rush, Borde coached various age groups at the academy level and received two coaching certifications in the process.
Prior to coaching, Borde played at Howard University where he was named ASC Rookie of the Year and ASC First Team All-Conference in 2009. During his sophomore campaign, he was named ASC Second Team All-Conference. He then transferred to Louisiana College in 2012 where he earned an ASC First Team All-Conference selection. While in college, Borde also represented his native country of Trinidad and Tobago, playing for the U23 National Team during their Olympic Qualifying campaign. Prior to his collegiate career, Borde played for the Florida Rush Academy in Orlando, Florida.
Coach Borde resides in Mount Vernon, Georgia with his wife Caryne.
