Coach Frankie Ruiz is in his 1st year as the head men's soccer coach and is also the head golf coach. He also is currently on staff with the U19 boys Premier team at Savannah United, who is affliated with Chelsea F.C. and Atlanta United. Coach Ruiz is a former Richmond Hill High School graduate, winning Region Player of the Year in soccer and earning All-Region team honors. He played at Brewton-Parker College in 2003 and 2004 as a left fullback and left wing.
By 2005, Coach Ruiz ultimately decided to join the United States Air Force and honorably left USAF June 2017. He was deployed multiple times throughout Southeast Asia with the war effort on terrorism, as well as deploying numerous times around Europe and South America with multiple objectives. He is a United States Air Force Non Commission Officer Graduate and received the following medals: Military Outstanding Volunteer Service medal (for volunteering more than 1000 hours in the community), Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with Valor medal, National Defense Service medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary medal, Global War on Terrorism Service medal, Air Force Expeditionary Service with gold border medal, Outstanding Air Force Training medal, Georgia Special Operations medal, Afghanistan Campaign medal, and the NATO meda. While in service, he also completed multiple leadership schools.
Alongside his outstanding military career, Coach Ruiz is the former head coach for United States Joint Forces women's soccer team from 10/2012-03/2013 in Kuwait City, Kuwait (Army, Air Force& Navy). He also coached the women's military soccer team while being stationed in Kuwait and coached the international friendly in Kuwait City against Kuwait's women's international team while also performing Air Force duties with 100% mission efficiency.
Coach Ruiz is the former Director of Coaching and Vice President of the Richmond Hill Soccer Club and the former head coach at Richmond Hill Soccer Club since 2006. He formed the Richmond Hill Hooligans in 2010, who are currently u19/20 classic 1. As a club select coach with the Hooligans, he accumulated 65 wins, 16 draws, and 9 losses, not including being undefeated with countless friendlies.
Coach Ruiz chose to coach at BPC ultimately because of its Christian values and teachings. He is looking forward to building the soccer program into a powerhouse. He was an assistant for BPC for 1 1/2 years before being promoted to head coach for this upcoming season. He led the BPC Soccer Reserves to an undefeated season last year.
Coach Frankie Ruiz currently lives in Richmond Hill, GA and is married to his sweet, sassy southernbelle wife Mallory Ruiz of Vidalia GA. They have a 4 year old son named Beckham Ruiz who is in his 3rd season of youth soccer with Savannah United.
