Brooklyn, NY---Announced by Brooklyn College Director of Athletics, Bruce Filosa, Agathangelos Tsantsaridis has been named Head Coach of the BC Women's Soccer program. The fourth head coach in the program's history, Tsantsaridis arrives from back-to-back CUNYAC Champion, John Jay College, where he most recently served as Associate Head Coach after five years as an assistant with the program. The Bulldogs are slated to kick off the 2022 campaign on the road against Sarah Lawrence on September 1.

" We are very happy to be able to bring a coach like Agath on board who was on a staff that built a championship caliber program," Filosa would comment. "He is very familiar with the conference and we are excited about the future of the women's soccer program with him at the helm."

By his third season with John Jay, the Bloodhounds reached their first CUNYAC Championship match in seven years. The following season, the Bloodhounds captured the conference title and made their first NCAA Tournament appearance in the program's history. They would repeat as conference champs in 2021. During his tenure, Tsantsaridis helped recruit and coach a number of student-athletes that would earn all-conference and all-region honors.

“It is a tremendous honor and I am humbled to be selected as the next head women’s soccer coach at Brooklyn College," Tsantsaridis commented on being hired. "I am extremely excited to build a program for years to come with the potential that Brooklyn College offers."

Along with his coaching experience at the collegiate level, Coach Tsantsaridis works as the New York City FC Coaches Manager for Youth Programs. Prior to his appointment with NYC FC, he was a staff coach with the NY Cosmos Training & Development Program, along with coaching the U12 City and Country School team.

As a young player in Greece, he played in elite academies in and around Athens. In 2001, as a college freshman, he helped his team win the conference championship for the first time.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2005 at Empire State College in Athens, and Master’s Degree in Finance at University of Piraeus 2007. In 2010, he obtained his UEFA B license and worked for Olympiacos Piraeus Academy and Ethnikos Piraeus U16 team.

The site was a great resource to sort colleges by my selection criteria, connect with coaches and be a repository for all of my communications. Overall, the best site that I used in my college soccer search.
