Javier Marin

Javier became the Crimson Wave's men's soccer head coach a couple of months before the season began.


Before CCSJ, Javier was the head coach of Panathinaikos Chicago, competing in the National Premier Soccer League and US Soccer 4th Men's Semipro Division. In 2022, he was a nominee for the best coach in the conference.


Prior to Panathinaikos Chicago, Javier was an assistant coach for both the men's and women's teams at the University of Wisconsin - Parkside from 2020-2022. He helped coach the men's team to an NCAA tournament appearance after a sweep of the program's 2nd Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season title and GLIAC tournament title, finishing the year with a 15-4-2 overall record.


Javier is also the Director of Goalkeeping at the Barça Academy since 2016 and a coach within the Fire Strikers Soccer Academy since 2021. In 2021, he was also involved with the Chicago Soccer Academy, Westhosa Central High School, and WI Rush NE.


During his time as the 19 or younger boy's soccer head coach at Rush Elkhorn SC, he led the team to their 1st Regional President's Cup semifinals and WI President's Cup. The team also won the SECL under-18/19 division as the highest-score-achieving team with the most wins.


In the past, Javier was also the girl's soccer head coach at the South Pointe High School from 2018-19, leading the team to the school's first AAAA Region III Championship with an overall record 22-12-1 in 2018 and 30-3-1 in 2019 where they advanced to the quarterfinals. The junior varsity team were also AAAA Region III Champions (2018) and JV Preview Championship (2019). Javier was awarded the 2019 Best Girls' Football Coach by The Herald as well as the Top 50 Leaders and Coaches in the US by Band App.


He was also a Remote Player's Recruiter at Samoa Football Federation (2019) and the Director of Coaching & Head Men's Soccer Coach at FC Zarzaquemada (Spanish Men's 3rd Reg. Div.).
