Josh Reyes

Chicago State University Director of Athletics Dr. Monique Carroll named Josh Reyes the sixth head women's soccer coach in the history of the program on August 1, 2023.

Reyes had spent the past decade (2012-22) as head coach of both the women's and men's soccer programs as well as intramural director at Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas. Among the highlights of his tenure, he led both programs to winning seasons in 2021 after the teams did not compete in 2020 due to the global pandemic.

Additionally, Reyes served as a coach for the USL2 team in Round Rock, Texas (2019-23). The semi-professional men's league provides an elite platform for those pursuing professional careers domestically and internationally.

Reyes also spent five years as the Director of College Placement and Youth Coach at Barcelona Academy in Barcelona, Spain. Reyes coached and instructed youth girls and boys while creating camps and special events for the academy.

Reyes earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in kinesiology from Huston-Tillotson (2012), is pursuing a Masters degree in Business Administration at HT and obtained several Coaching License certificates from the United States Soccer Federation in 2014.
