Tracey Leone

Tracey Leone enters her second year as the Head Coach for Colby Women's Soccer to begin the 2023-24 year.

With over 25 years of coaching and playing experience as a Division I coach, a Division I athlete, and a US Women’s National Team player and coach, Leone is set to take CWS to new heights. She came to Colby after serving as the Assistant Coach for the New Zealand Women’s National Team, guiding the group through a tour in Canada where they played the Olympic Gold Medalists in two friendly games during a Celebration Tour.

Leone served as the head women’s soccer coach at Northeastern University from 2010-2015. The Huskies had five straight CAA Tournament appearances, winning one regular season conference title and two conference championships under her guidance. As a result of the conference championships, the team earned NCAA National Tournament berths; losing in 2014 to the eventual National Champion – Florida State. For her accomplishments, she was awarded the CAA Coach the Year and Mid-Atlantic Regional Coach of the Year in 2014.

Previous to her time at Northeastern University, Leone was one of the assistant women’s soccer coaches at Harvard University. In 2008 and 2009, the team won the Ivy League Title and the opportunity to play in the NCAA Tournament.

Through the years, Leone has spent time working with various levels of the US Women’s National teams, the Olympic Development Program, and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

In 1993, Leone moved to South Carolina to start the women’s soccer program at Clemson University. For those six seasons, the team saw tremendous success; six straight NCAA Tournament appearances, garnering two Elite 8 finishes and one Sweet 16. This effort earned Leone a Clemson University Hall of Fame induction in the 2019 class.

She began her coaching college coaching career at Creighton University in 1991, while also playing for the US Women’s National Soccer Team. Leone was proudly a member of the US squad that earned the distinction of 1991 World Champions.

Leone spent her collegiate playing career at the University of North Carolina, under the legendary coach Anson Dorrance, where she was a three time All-American and team captain her senior year. The squad won three National Championships and one runner-up title during her time as a Tar Heel. Leone earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from UNC – Chapel Hill in 1989.

Eryn Doiron

Eryn Doiron joined the Colby Women's Soccer coaching staff as an Assistant Coach to begin the 2021-22 season.

Doiron joins Colby from Loughborough University where she has been studying Sports Biomechanics and was a member of the Loughborough Women's Performance Football team this past year. She was a two-sport athlete in soccer and basketball at Maine Maritime Academy and graduated with a B.S. in Power Engineering Technology in May 2020. With the help of her soccer teammates, the left-footed midfielder set multiple school records in her career at MMA: all-time leading scorer (52 goals); 4th player in program history to surpass 100 career points; and all-time single season leader in goals (21) and points (45).

In 2019, Doiron helped her team to a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) championship and a dance in the first round of the NCAA tournament. She was voted the 2019 NAC Player of the Year by conference coaches and was a 2019 First Team All-Conference selection.

Serving as a senior captain in both sports and as an active member in her campus community, Doiron ultimately understands the demands of managing the rigor of academics with competitive athletics.
