Atanas (Nasko) Arsov enters his fifth year at Cedar Valley College and is entering his second season leading the Men's Soccer program. Coach Nasko led the CVC Men's Soccer Team to a record of 5-5 in 2018 after nearly a decade absence of the soccer program.
Nasko has nearly two decades worth of experience, coaching both men and women at the college level with stops at Northwood University, Hill College, and Brookhaven College. As Head Men's Soccer Coach at Northwood University in Cedar Hill, TX he brought his team to the top four in the Red River Athletic Conference in 2012 and Sooner Athletic Conference in 2013. From 2000-2011 he was Head Women's Soccer Coach and from 2006-2011 he was also Head Men's Soccer Coach at Hill College in Hillsboro, TX where he re-established both programs. In 2008 his Women's team became Region V Conference Champions and he was awarded the National Junior College Athletic Association's Region V Coach of the year. When he left, the women's team had a 113-62-18 record. His Men's team won a Region V regular season in 2010.
Nasko has extensive experience from 2000-2015 as Head Boys and Girls Soccer Coach with FC Dallas, ASG and Andromeda FC. He won numerous league championships and tournaments, developed and promoted the teams to higher divisions, and helped many players sign letters of intent to different colleges. He was also USSF Development Academy Head Soccer Coach for U14 with Andromeda FC for the 2014-2015 season. Additionally, Andromeda FC appointed him USSF DA Head Soccer Coach for U16 and U18 teams in the spring of 2015.
In 2018, Arsov was an assistant coach for Texas United FC – USL 2 and in 2019, he was an Assistant Coach for Dallas City FC - NPSL before being appointed Head Coach mid-season.
Before his coaching career began, he played professionally for 12 years in the Bulgarian Football Professional League where he capped 325 matches and scored 82 goals. His professional career continued in the US as he played for the Eastern Indoor Soccer League in Mississippi where he registered 21 points in 20 matches.
Nasko holds a Master of Science degree from The National Sports Academy University in Sofia, Bulgaria where he also received his Bachelor of Science Degree for Football Coach and Teacher of Physical Education. He completed the one-year Post-Graduation Program for High-Performance Football Coaching in Lisbon, Portugal and holds a USSF "A" License and UEFA "B" License.
