Didier Grillet is entering his first season as Interim Head Men's Soccer Coach at Emory & Henry College and his fourth season overall on staff. As an assistant for the past thiree years, he was involved in all the day-to-day operations of the program including training sessions, match planning, camps, equipment, travel and recruiting.
Grillet played for four years in goal for E&H between 2013 and 2016. During that span, he played in 55 matches making 53 starts, totaling 4,743 minutes in goal, placing him second all-time in total career minutes played. Grillet finished his career as the career record-holder for wins and shutouts and is third all-time in career saves.
Grillet attended High School at South Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. While there, he competed on the varsity squads for soccer, swimming and pole vault. Grillet was nominated to the All-Conference squads for all three sports, while finishing second in pole vault at the conference meet. He has coached at the Sardis Forest Swim Club, as well as serving as a lifeguard.
He graduated from Emory & Henry in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in sport management. He is a member of the United Soccer Coaches and possesses coaching qualifications from the organization.
