Gabriel De Queiroz

Gabriel de Queiroz is entering the 2024 season in his third full campaign as head coach and eighth season on the Faulkner soccer coaching staff.

After taking over at the midway mark in the 2020-21 season, Queiroz has led the Eagles to back-to-back conference semifinals including with the program's first-ever top half of the conference finish in regular season play in 2022. He led the Eagles to their first national votes and the program's best overall and conference record in 2023. Entering the 2024 season, he has a 24-32-2 record overall and a 13-16-2 record in SSAC play.

Queiroz started his coaching career as a student assistant coach at Faulkner in the spring of 2015. He was hired as the assistant boys soccer coach at Alabama Christian Academy in January 2016, and returned to Faulkner in the summer of 2016 as the top assistant coach on the men's soccer staff. Queiroz currently serves as the head boys coach at Montgomery Academy in the spring where he was named the All-Metro Coach of the Year in 2022 and is the assistant director for local youth soccer club FC Montgomery. He holds USSF Futsal coaching license and is on track to graduate with an Argentinian Football Association License B in 2021.

A native of Salvador, Brazil, Queiroz was a two-year letterman as a midfielder on the Faulkner University men's soccer team after two years playing in junior college for Iowa Western in 2011 and Wallace State-Hanceville in 2012. Queiroz played semi-pro soccer for NPSL club Corinthians San Antonio FC in the summer of 2015. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Faulkner University in 2016 and a masters in management in 2019.

Queiroz married the former Brittany Gregor, a Faulkner women's soccer alum, in May of 2017. They are the proud parents of Felipa and Ana.
