Jade Ovendale

Ovendale is entering her fifth season as the head women's soccer coach leading the 2022 team to a 15-3-3 mark to finish third in the GPAC. Then the Lady Broncos went on to win the conference tournament and qualify for nationals. Hastings finished with three first team all-conference performers and one second team all-conference member.


The 2021 team finished with a 13-5-1 mark while finishing fourth in the GPAC. She had one first team all-conference honoree and two second team members.


The 2020 squad to a 12-6 mark while finishing fourth in the GPAC. She had two first team All-Conference members, a second team All-Conference member and two honorable mention honorees.


Ovendale came to Bronco Nation after spending two seasons as the head women’s coach at Northern Oklahoma following four seasons as the assistant men’s soccer coach where she helped her teams reach two finals, and four semi-finals in the conference tournaments.


Academically on the women’s side she oversaw her team finish 4th in the nation out of 181 teams in women’s soccer for the NJCAA All- Academic Teams. Ovendale had four players earning All-Academic First Team, two All-Academic Second Team and four All-Academic Third Team. She has also coached 13 student-athletes awarded All-Conference Team and 10 All-Conference Tournament Team between both programs.


With NOC being a junior college institution, Ovendale saw 34 of her former players receive athletic scholarships to finish out their careers at four year institutions. Two of them went to play NCAA D1, thirteen went to NCAA D2, and nineteen went on to play in the NAIA.


Ovendale started her student-athlete career at Northern Oklahoma College where she helped the win conference both years, win district and secure a place at the NJCAA National Tournament which was a first for the program. While there Ovendale was All-Region First Team, MVP and Offensive Player of the Year both years. Ovendale graduated from University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma receiving her Bachelors of Science in Physical Education and Recreation in 2015 with cum laude honors. She later received her Masters of Education in Sports Administration from East Central University in 2018. She played her final two years of soccer for USAO where she scored 50 goals, dished out 17 assists for 143 points in her Drover career. She was named to the NAIA Honorable Mention All-American team in 2014 following her 32 goal season. She was also named Sooner Athletic Conference Player and Offensive Player of the Year and Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete. In four years as a collegiate athlete Ovendale scored 91 goals. Following her senior year she was awarded The Bill and Pat Smith Scholar-Athlete Award. The award, which is given to up to two USAO senior athletes — one male and one female — each year, is presented to those students who best embody the concept of a student-athlete and uphold high ideals in scholarship, citizenship and athletic competition.
