Bill Wardle

Bill Wardle was named the head men's soccer coach on June 2, 2020. Wardle has over 20 years of experience coaching club and high school soccer in Harford County.

In 2022 the Fighting Owls accomplished a 13-5 record, the second-highest winning percentage in program history, under the leadership of Coach Wardle. The team saw six players named to the MD JUCO All-Conference team, 5 players named to the All Region 20 team, and 1 player earning All American recognition, Kye Williams. Coach Wardle was named the NJCAA East District Coach of the Year for 2022. He and his staff have placed over 20 players at four-year programs including NAIA, and NCAA Divisions 1, 2, and 3.

The Fighting Owls had a historic fall 2021 campaign, in which Wardle led the team to all-time best 16 wins and their first appearance at the NJCAA DI National Tournament. A pair of upsets over No. 1 Harcum and No. 3 Montgomery guaranteed the Fighting Owls their first East District Championship in program history. Harford locked up the No. 1 seed the Region 20 DI tournament with a 3-0 record against R20 DI opponents. The Fighting Owls finished unblemished on the road (8-0) and 10-2 against Maryland JUCO Conference foes. Under Wardle's guidance, forward Kye Williams was named an NJCAA All-American. Williams, alongside three other Fighting Owls, were named to the All-Region 20 DI side.

The COVID-19 pandemic pushed the Harford men's soccer 2020 campaign to the Spring of 2021. Wardle led Harford to a 6-5 record, including an 8-0 win over Region 20 DI rival Hagerstown. Despite a shortened season, the Fighting Owls still managed to amass four shutout victories. Michael Gisriel, Kye Williams and Danny Eckert earned All-MD JUCO honors.

Wardle was named the interim head men's soccer coach ahead of the 2019 season. In his first season at the helm he finished with an 8-11 record, doubling the amount of wins from the 2018 side. Five of Harford's wins came as shutout victories, once again doubling the Fighting Owls total from last year. Wardle also led the Fighting Owls to their first win in the Region XX Division I Tournament since 2016 with a 1-0 triumph over No. 5 seed Hagerstown.

Under Wardle's guidance, sophomore keeper Mason Mullaney wrapped up his Harford career with the second most saves made by any Fighting Owl goalkeeper (148). A trio of Harford players were also named to the All-Region XX Division I squad: Travis Bouthet (First Team), Ilario Ercole (Second Team) and Kevin Dietrich (Honorable Mention). Bouthet was also named to the All-Maryland JUCO Conference team.

Prior to being named head coach, Wardle spent two seasons as an assistant under Jason Muffoletto. The Fighting Owls went 16-18-3 during that span.

I found it easy to use. It included all of the information that a college coach/recruiter would look for. I highly recommend it to all college bound athletes!
