The Book on Urquhart:

Familiar with the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), Urquhart joins The Haven after spending the previous two seasons (2022-23) as an assistant coach with both the men’s and women’s soccer teams at Seton Hill, where he helped lead both programs to the postseason in consecutive years. During his time with the Griffins, 12 men and seven women were named All-PSAC West selections.

Prior to his tenure at Seton Hill, Urquhart was the head women’s soccer coach at Saint Mary’s College in Indiana from 2016 to 2022. In 2021, Urquhart led the Belles to eight victories, marking their highest win total in seven seasons. He coached four All-Conference selections and the 2021 Sportswomen of the Year. Outside the pitch, Urquhart guided the program to six consecutive United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Awards.

Urquhart began his coaching career at his alma mater Neumann University as an assistant coach on the men’s soccer team from 2008 to 2014. During his tenure, he helped lead the Knights to the NCAA Tournament twice, including a Sweet 16 appearance and the Athletic East Conference (AEC) Tournament five times. Urquhart helped guide 16 athletes to All-Conference honors, including the 2009, 2010 and 2013 AEC Player of the Year and the 2010 ESPN Academic All-American First Team.

As a collegiate athlete, Urquhart competed at Camden County College and Neumann University. In his final two years of eligibility at Neumann, he set school records in goals, points, game-winning goals and assists in a season.

Urquhart earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Neumann University in 2009 and completed a master’s degree in education with a concentration in sports coaching from Defiance College in 2016, where he served as a graduate assistant coach.
