Chris Gaskin

Chris Gaskin was named the sixth head coach of the Marian University women's soccer program in July of 2022.


Gaskin brings with him a wealth of coaching experience across a variety of levels including college, high school, and club. Most recently, Gaskin served as the head women's soccer coach at NAIA Iowa Wesleyan for three seasons. He was able to turn the program around at IWU leading the Tigers to a berth into the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Tournament in his final year after Iowa Wesleyan won just three games the year prior to his arrival. Four student-athletes would earn all-conference recognition including a pair of second-team selections.


Prior to his time at IWU, Gaskin served as the head coach at Green Mountain College, a former NCAA Division III institution in Vermont. In his lone season at the helm of the Eagles program, he would lead Green Mountain College to a Northeastern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (NIAC) Championship and the first winning season for the program since 2006. His collegiate coaching experience also saw a two-year stint at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's soccer programs. The Cardinals would have seven all-conference selections between both programs during his tenure.


Gaskin played collegiately at Green Mountain College for four seasons where he played in 58 games scoring eight goals with six assists. He was a highly-decorated student-athlete with the Eagles earning three All-North Atlantic Conference selections, Green Mountain College Male Athlete of the Year honors as a sophomore, and the GMC James M. Pollock Senior Male Athlete of the Year. After earning his bachelors of science in sociology from Green Mountain College in 2013, he would take his talents overseas. Gaskin played two seasons in Scotland, the first for Riverside Football Club and the second for the University of Stirling. He would serve as a team captain for the University of Stirling and earned his masters in sports psychology in 2015. The University of Stirling wetn on to finish second at the Scottish Natioanl Futsal Finals.


His coaching certifications include a United Soccer Coaches advanced national diploma, USSF F License, and Scottish FA Levels 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3.

Kinsey Gomez

Kinsey Gomez was added to the Marian University women's soccer coaching staff as an assistant coach in February of 2023.


Gomez joins the Sabre women's soccer coaching staff after recently concluding her collegiate playing career at Trinity International University. She scored three goals with a pair of assists on the season earning her NCCAA Second Team All-Region honors. Gomez also earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition for her work in the classroom as well. She finished her Trojan career playing in 27 matches over two seasons with 12 total points. Prior to TIU, she spent two seasons at Western Texas College starting in all 23 games she appeared in with the Westerners. Gomez served as a captain for both programs.


During her transition from Western Texas to Trinity International, Gomez suffered season-ending injuries in back-to-back seasons. In those two seasons, she spent time as a student-assistant coach with the Trojans and a youth soccer coach. She also volunteered her time as an assistant coach at the high school level and assisted in coaching clinics.


Gomez earned an associate degree in general education from Western Texas. She then earned a bachelor's degree in sports wellness and master of arts degree in organizational leadership from Trinity International University. Gomez is also an AFFA certified group fitness instructor.
