Grubb began her coaching career with the Capital Area Soccer League in 2003. During her three-year tenure with CASL, Grubb's teams won two state championships, one regional title, and one team advanced as a national semifinalist.

In 2008 Grubb returned to her alma mater as assistant coach with the University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers. The Vols collected three Southeastern Conference championships during Grubb's tenure with the program. Grubb currently serves as a staff coach with Team First Soccer Academy.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with concentration in sport management and a minor in business.

Prior to her four-year career with the Lady Vols, Grubb completed a decorated varsity career at Hunt High School in Wilson, North Carolina. A four-year All-Conference, All-State, and All-Region honoree, Grubb set two new North Carolina state records in season and career goals scored.
