Mark Stauffer

Mark Stauffer ‘97 is in his 24th year as head women’s soccer coach at Misericordia University.

He led the Cougars to a 21-1-1 record and a trip to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament along with their second straight MAC Freedom title in 2022.

Stauffer earned his second consecutive MAC Freedom Coach of the Year award and was named the United Soccer Coaches Region IV Coach of the Year.

MU achieved the number-one national ranking for the second year in a row.


The Cougars had 11 players earn All-MAC Freedom honors and swept the yearly awards: Offensive Player of the Year, Emma Sweitzer, Defensive Player of the Year, Michael Fasolino and Rookie of the Year Brenna Field. Sweitzer was named USC National Player of the Year and Fasolino was the USC National Scholar-Player of the Year.


Stauffer put the MU women’s soccer program on the national map in 2012 by leading the Cougars to a 20-3-2 record, a MAC Freedom title and a trip to the NCAA Final Four. He was named the 2012 NSCAA National Coach of the Year as well as the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Coach of the Year.


He owns a career record of 324-115-26 and ranks 16th among active D-III coaches in victories and 21st in winning percentage (.725). The Cougars have earned 14 NCAA Tournament berths during his tenure.


Stauffer has coached 21 USC/NSCAA All-America selections, 54 All-Region selections, 154 all-conference selections, 20 conference Players of the Year and 10 conference Rookies of the Year.


In addition, he has had multiple players earn Academic All-Region honors and one CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-American and eight Scholar-All-Americans.


He holds his USC/NSCAA premier coaching diploma and is a regional staff coach for the USC/NSCAA.


During his playing career, he was a two-time PAC all-star and led the Cougars to three appearances in the PAC championship match, including a PAC title in 1996. He ranks among Misericordia’s all-time leaders in five categories, including career points, goals and assists and single-season points and goals.

Madi Welliver

Tayler Jamison is in her first season as the graduate assistant women’s soccer coach at Misericordia University.


She is a graduate of West Chester University where she was a three-year letter-winner as a midfielder and forward.


She served as a team captain as a senior and led the Rams to three NCAA Tournament appearances, including two trips to the Sweet 16 and one Elite 8 berth.


Previously, she served as an assistant coach at Twin Valley High School and the Phoenixville Soccer Club.


Jamison earned her degree in exercise science and is pursuing her master’s in organizational management.
