Alex Piekarski

Alex Piekarski is entering his 4th season as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach for the 2023 season.


The 2022 season the Ranger's finished with eight shutouts on the season helping lead the team to another postseason appearance for the second straight season. Northwestern had six members earn conference accolades after the season including four second team members.


In 2021 Piekarski led the Rangers to a school best NCAA Division 2-era record of 11-6-2. The Rangers earned their first ever GAC Conference Tournament appearance, and Piekarski was named GAC Coach of the Year.


Other highlights of 2021 include a 7 game unbeaten streak and a first ever Coaches Poll Regional Ranking, reaching as high as #9 in the Central Region. 7 Rangers were named to the GAC All-Conference Team, highlighted by Tiara Campbell being Named “GAC Newcomer of the Year” and she was named to the All-Central Region team. Additionally, Ranger Soccer has exceled in the classroom and community, and were recognized at the Northwespy Awards by being named the “Team of Excellence”


Prior to Northwestern, he was the Head Coach at Hastings College (Nebraska) where he lead the Broncos to a 17-5 Record in 2019. He lead the Broncos to the 2nd round of the NAIA National Tournament as well as a trip to the GPAC Conference Championship game.


Before his First Head Coaching job Hastings, Piekarski has extensive Assistant Coaching Experience at the NCAA Division 2 Level at Wayne State College and St. Cloud State University, as well at the NCAA Division 1 level at Utah State University.


Piekarski is a 2013 Graduate of Lakeland University in Wisconsin in 2013, where he was a 4 time All-Conference performer for the Muskies. In 2016, Piekarski received his Masters Degree from St. Cloud State.
