Sheldon Blue

Blue comes to Randolph from nearby ODAC institution Roanoke College where he has served as assistant coach with the Maroons for the past four seasons. During his tenure, Roanoke qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 2019, advanced three times to the league semifinals, and the ODAC tournament championship last season while compiling a 36-14-15 record.


With four years of coaching experience in the ODAC, Blue is already familiar with the Randolph program, its players, and its winning culture.


"I was attracted to Randolph because it's a great school, with strong academics, and a beautiful campus. There is a rich history with the soccer program having made an NCAA Tournament and having won an ODAC regular-season title in the past," said Blue. "And, we play in one of the best stadiums around. I have seen first-hand how passionate the fans are on campus and the amazing atmosphere for games."


Prior to arriving at Roanoke, Blue was an assistant coach at Wesley College in Dover, Del. from 2017-2019. In 2018, the Wolverines men's team was named the most improved team in NCAA Division III men's soccer. Wesley recorded an 11.5-game turnaround from 2017 to the 2018 season, which tied the 1999 University of Puget Sound Loggers for the largest single-season improvement in NCAA Division III history.


Blue also served as head coach at Cumberland County College in Vineland, N.J. from 2016-2017.


As a student-athlete, Blue was a team captain in his senior year and named to the All-Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) second team in 2013. Blue earned Dean's List honors as student at Wesley and All-CAC Academic Honor Roll accolades three times during his undergraduate years.


Blue graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Management from Wesley in 2015. He obtained his Master of Science degree in the same field from Wesley in 2019.
