Greg Gilmore

Gilmore comes to Salem from NCAA Division III Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin, where he has led the men's soccer program since 2019. In his 5 seasons leading the Northland College Jacks, Gilmore turned around a 1 win team into a regional and Upper Midwest Athletic Conference contender. On top of his duties leading the Jacks, Gilmore has also coached with Duluth FC, a semi-professional team based out of Duluth, Minnesota.

Prior to Northland, Gilmore spent 2016 through 2018 at his alma mater Southern Vermont College as the men's soccer head coach, where he led a resurgent Mountaineer program to their first postseason berth in 4 years. Gilmore was a men's soccer student-athlete at Southern Vermont during his undergraduate work, and later went on to coach at the high school and club levels before taking the head coaching role at his alma mater.

Off the soccer field, Gilmore graduated from Southern Vermont with a degree in history and political science in 2012, and completed a Master's of Business Administration in Athletic Administration degree through Southern New Hampshire University in 2018.

Athletic Director Alex Joseph said this regarding the new hire, "We are excited to welcome Greg Gilmore as our new head men's soccer coach. Throughout this process, we were looking for not just a proven winner, but a leader of men that has a clear vision for what our program can be. Coach Gilmore has twice taken over programs that were struggling, and turned them into winning programs."

In regards to this new chapter for Salem men's soccer, Coach Gilmore had this to say, "I'd like to thank President Weber, Alex, and the rest of the search team for giving me the opportunity to lead the men's soccer program. I couldn't be more thrilled for this next chapter, and Lauren and I are looking forward to joining and getting to know the Salem community. Moving forward, everyone should expect an extremely hardworking program that is going to do everything it can to compete at the highest level possible."

Salem University Athletics is thrilled to see what Coach Gilmore can bring to the future of the men's soccer program here at Salem. We are looking forward to working with him towards creating high level experiences for our men's soccer student-athletes in preparation for the 2024 fall campaign.

Didn't have a long-term experience with the site, however I found it more user friendly than CaptainU, which I had used in the past.
