Mads Kaiser

Mads Kaiser completed his first season as head coach of Saint Francis in November 2023.


In his first season as head coach, Kaiser led the team to the program's first unbeaten record of 7-0-7 and to the program's second NEC Regular Season Champion Title. Following the team's historic run, Kaiser and his staff were named NEC Coaching Staff of the Year. Kaiser also coached 2023 NEC Goalkeeper of the Year, Jordaine Jaeger and 2023 NEC Defensive Player of the Year, Tom Schellbach. Kaiser had five players land on All-Conference teams in 2023.


Mads Kaiser was elevated to head coach December 12, 2022 after serving two seasons as an assistant head coach with the men’s soccer program.


As an assistant coach, Kaiser helped lead the team back to the Northeast Conference (NEC) Tournament in 2022. Kaiser also helped coach five All-Conference team members and 2022 NEC Rookie of the Year, Jordaine Jaeger.


Previously, Kaiser worked as the graduate assistant men’s soccer coach at Regis University in Denver, Colorado. In his almost three years with the Rangers, he helped to guide the team back to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Final while having a record of 21-12-5 and earning his master’s degree in marketing (2020).


Main responsibilities included the gathering of data and statistics of student athletes by using GPS tracking devices, plan and run fundraising events, recruit, and evaluate talent of the potential student athletes and support the daily operations of practice planning and game tactics, while acting as the link between professors and coaching staff monitoring the academic success of the players.


Before Saint Francis, Kaiser also worked as the head coach at Kings Hammer SC in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he guided the U12 academy team to the state cup quarter finals in his first season.


The Rheinberg, Germany native earned his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia, where he played all four seasons with the Senators.

Ross Stewart

Ross Stewart joined the Saint Francis men's soccer program in June 2023 as an assistant coach.


Stewart completed his first season as an assistant coach at Saint Francis by helping lead the team to the program's first unbeaten record of 7-0-7 and to earn the NEC Regular Season Champions title for just the second time in program history. Stewart was also a part of the NEC's 2023 Coaching Staff of the Year. Stewart helped coach five All-Conference team members, including NEC Goalkeeper of the Year Jordaine Jaeger and NEC Defensive Player of the Year, Tom Schellbach.


Stewart arrives to Loretto after a two-year stint at Mercyhurst University, where he served as the assistant coach. In Stewart’s time at Mercyhurst he helped lead the team to back-to-back PSAC West regular season titles, to a PSAC Championship title and to go on to the second round of the NCAA Division II Tournament this past year. He was also a part of United Soccer Coaches DII Atlantic Region 2022 Coaching Staff of the Year.


Stewart played an integral role in developing training sessions and recruiting at Mercyhurst. He helped coach three NCAA Division II All-Americans, including Dylan Summers who was named the PSAC Athlete of the Year and Jonathan Gomes who was named the PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Year. Gomes recently signed with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.


Prior to his two years at Mercyhurst, Stewart spent a year and a half as the first team and U19 coach for the Crusaders Strikers Women FC in his native Northern Ireland. Stewart was responsible for developing training sessions, recruitment and player development.


At the conclusion of his collegiate playing career, Stewart transitioned to a coaching role where he served as an assistant coach at Daemen College. He also served a short term as interim head coach.


The Bangor, Northern Ireland native earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Davis & Elkins College in 2017. Stewart was a member of the 2016 Davis & Elkins GMAC regular season champions team and helped lead the team to back-to-back appearances in the GMAC tournament as a player.


Stewart also has a M.S. in International Business from Daemen (’19) and a M.S. in Data Science from Mercyhurst (‘23).
