Zack Walters

Zack Walters is entering his third season as the head coach of Thiel College’s men’s soccer team. He served as the assistant coach for the team under Killian Riley during the 2019 season.

A 2018 graduate of Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) member Westminster College, he earned four letters and was a two-year co-captain for the Titans. Walters scored 12 goals and handed out 10 assists for a total of 34 points during his collegiate career. He was a two-time All-PAC selection, including Second Team accolades in 2017.

In 2015, he was a member of the Titans team that won the PAC title and advanced the NCAA Division III Tournament. He served as a volunteer assistant coach at Westminster in 2018, and helped lead the Titans to another PAC championship and appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament. He was also recently named to the Westminster All-Decade (2010-19) Second Team.

A native of Hermitage, Pa. and graduate of Hickory High School, Walters graduated Magna Cum Laude from Westminster College in 2018 with bachelor’s degrees in business administration and sports management. As an undergraduate, Walters qualified for the PAC Academic Honor Roll four times. He went on to earn a master’s degree in general education from Westminster College in 2020.

Walters has served as Head Boys Coach for Select FC Club Team since 2017. He is also the head coach of U19 and U16 boys teams.

Zach Yoder

Zach Yoder is entering his second season as the men’s soccer assistant coach.

A native of Goshen, Indiana, Yoder earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Ohio Northern University this spring. While at ONU, Yoder maintained a 3.48 grade-point average and was a member of Chi Alpha Sigma, the student-athlete honor society.

Yoder played soccer for ONU, the Dayton Dutch Lions of the United Soccer League (USL) League Two, and Elkhart County United of the Midwest Regional League (MRL). Yoder earned four letters at ONU. He was the team’s Newcomer of the Year in 2017. As a senior, Yoder was named to the All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Second Team. He helped Elkhart County United win the State Cup.

Yoder gained coaching experience at the South Bend Summer Soccer program in 2020 and 2021. He also coached at the 2021 ONU High School Camp, the ONU ID Camp and via private training lessons.
