William (Bill) Glass

Bill Glass started coaching soccer in the Georgia Youth Soccer Association in 1998. He received a national coaching license from the United States Soccer Federation in 2001. Glass won two Georgia Youth Soccer Association state championships with his U-17 select club team and several league championships with his U-10 YMCA team. In 2008 he retired from business and was named Head Soccer Coach at Brewton-Parker College in Georgia. At Brewton- Parker Glass posted winning records and took his team to the SSAC Tournament two years in a row. After 5 years at BPC Glass joined the athletic staff at USC Salkehatchie. At Salk his men’s teams have posted winning records in each of the last three years and made it to the semifinals of the NJCAA Region X men’s soccer tournament several times most recently in 2013. The women’s team has made it to the semifinals of NJCAA Region X women’s soccer tournament in 2 out of the last 4 years.


Glass is married to Bettina S. Linden, a German teacher at Vidalia City Schools in Georgia.


They have three sons: Alex Glass graduated from Georgia Tech and is currently in the U.S. Army, Robert Glass graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University and works as a Policy Analyst for a trade organization in Washington, D.C. and Gordon Glass recently graduated from North Georgia University and is now enrolled in Georgia State School of Law. Bettina is a graduate of Muenster University Law School in Germany and Glass is a graduate of the University of Maryland where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. The whole family has been actively involved with soccer for many years.
