Peter Fuller

Peter Fuller, two-time NAIA national championship coach, was hired as USSA's inaugural Head Men's Soccer coach for the 2023 season.

With more than 300 career wins under his belt, Fuller is one of the winningest coaches in NAIA soccer history and has won national championships at both Belhaven University and University of Mobile. Peter is the only coach in the history of the NAIA to have won national championships at two different schools.

Fuller comes to the Eagles from the professional level after serving as the Head Coach for the Syracuse Pulse and Chattanooga Football Club. At Chattanooga FC, Fuller coached the team to a NISA Independent Cup victory in 2020 and 2021. He previously served on the coaching staffs for MLS teams, the New England Revolution and the Philadelphia Union.

Before his time coaching in the professional league, Peter Fuller made his mark on NAIA men's soccer. Fuller was responsibility for the University of Mobile men’s soccer program from 1995 to 2010, earning a record of 221-97-21. During Fuller’s coaching tenure, the Rams made 12 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship appearances. The Rams earned their first NAIA Men's Soccer National Title victory in 2002. Fuller was named NAIA Coach of the Year, Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, and coached 35 NAIA All-American selections and over 50 All-Conference selections.

Prior to his success with the Rams, Fuller led the Belhaven program from 1991 to1993. Across his three-year tenure, Fuller led the Blazers to 59 wins across 73 matches played, which marks an .836 winning percentage, the highest by any single coach in program history. In 1992, Fuller coached the Blazers to their first ever NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship and just the second National Championship in Belhaven Athletics history.

Fuller is an inducted member of the Hall of Fames at both Belhaven University and University of Mobile.

As a player in college, the Massachusetts native earned NAIA All-America honors as a defender and midfielder for Houghton College. He earned his bachelor’s degrees in physical education from Belhaven College and religion from Bethany Bible College. Fuller was selected by the New York Eagles of the American Soccer League with its first draft selection, and later played professionally for Memphis Americans, Sports Life, and Jackson Rockers.

Fuller now resides in Mobile, AL and enjoys his time with his wife Cathy and son Robby.
